I made earrings for all the girls and am making some felt ornaments for some aunts. That's about it for this year!

@Mrs. Sketchbook: I love your ornaments!
I made my mom a Santa fence (looks like this). Who knows if she wants it but I liked making ours so I made one for her, too.

I ModPodged marble paper onto a frame for my mom and made a wreath for my SIL.

@evansjamie: the wreath! Is that foam wreath wrapped with burlap? The wood letters at my craft stores are all so ugly.

@mediagirl: OMGosh! I need to make that before next Christmas! How cute...if she doesn't want it, you can send it my way
I made the Santa salt ornaments for all the sets of grandparents but that's it. Getting so much inspiration from this thread though!

@locavore_mama: It's a straw wreath. I usually hate the wood letters too, but I had some marbled paper scraps laying around so I broke out the ModPodge to make them prettier.

@evansjamie: I loooove both! The marble frame is awesome, and your wreath is adorable!!

@MrsBrewer: Thanks! I have letters and paper left over, so I'm planning on making a similar one for our front door. And I'm also wanting to do another frame with a mirror for our bathroom.

I didn't full on make something handmade but I did renovate/re-design LO's play kitchen, which I started a thread about. It was weeks of work but well worth the reaction she had when she first saw it (she discovered it this week).

I made my Mom an abacus! It was a lot harder than Pinterest made it sound (of course), but I'm pretty excited about it. This isn't the exact one I made, but was the inspiration.

@BakerBee: yes share the link that is adorable!
I made some bath bombs and need to still put together bath salts in little jars this weekend. I will try to take some pics later! I was going to knit hats but I procrastinated too much - I'll save the yarn for next year and start earlier.

@BakerBee: so fun!!
@Mrs. Sketchbook: I especially love the presentation, they look totally professional!
I've been busy but my favorite handmade gifts I can't share, because the recipient is a fellow bee Here is a hungry whale stuffy, some dance gear for my niece, and fabric gift bags!

My cousin and his fiancée are the most indecisive people on earth and they were complaining about how long it takes them to decide on where to get take out from. So I wrote out a bunch of restaurant names, with recommended dishes, in their neighborhood and put the slips of paper in a jar so they don't have to decide. And a throw to cuddle under for the ensuing food coma. That's about as DIY as I get. I am so jealous of your talents and the beautiful gifts!

@Elderberrygin: omg I love that! Did you follow a book... I would love to learn to knit like that.

@Greentea: Thanks! My go-to teach-yourself-to-knit book is Debbie Stoller's Stitch n' Bitch. I taught myself how to knit from that about ten years ago. This pattern's actually not too tricky - just cables, decreases and some knitting in the round. Its one of those projects that makes me look much more skilled than I am.
