Tell me about a good restaurant you have tried. Chain, local, doesn't matter.
I recently stopped at a little country restaurant that was recommended to me by a friend. It's halfway between my house and my parents along route 40. It's called Meadow Family Restaurant. It's a buffet restaurant with lots of fried food and an entire dessert table. I wish we had found it 10 years ago! I can't wait to go again.

We went to a nice Mexican restaurant a few weeks ago that was really good!
And not too long ago I went to Tom + Chee...a tomato soup and grilled cheese restaurant!

We went to an Indian restaurant that we'd been meaning to go to for a while but never got around to it. It was pretty spicy which I am sensitive to, but even I enjoyed it. It is called Pondicheri and has been written up by tons of national magazines, and the food network featured it on a show.

Went to this restaurant called M Wells Dinette. Its in a museum and set up like a school cafeteria. Food was excellent!

@mediagirl: I used to go there every time I would visit my sister while she was in college! It gave me a middle point on 40 to mentally focus on because I hateeee driving on 40!!

Dh and I had a date night last night while my babysat and tried and Australian restaurant I. Our neighborhood and it was really good! Dh ate kangaroo

We found a bbq place called Piggleys. The food is pretty good. They make fresh squeezed margaritas that are to die for. That is something I will miss if/when I get pregnant for sure! They're the best margaritas I've ever had. mmmm

We finally went to a brunch place last weekend that I've been wanting to go to for a year. The great thing is they open early on weekends-8 am! So even though it's not super kid friendly, we can get in and out before the brunch rush.
Hubs had crab cake Benedict and I had maple bacon infused French toast Benedict. LO had eggs and fruit--it was all delicious!

This excellent artisan/whatever you want to call it pizza place near my apartment called Milkflower. Amazing!

@travellingbee: I went there a few months ago and it was spicy for me as well, and kinda $$$... But a cool place!
I went to Taste of Texas recently for steak and it was so good! They feed you chips and salsa and popcorn while you are waiting to be seated and the included salad bar was great for the kids. I also got to choose my own steak from the back.

We went to a place called Bear Flag Fish Co. near here that served the best poke I've had outside of Hawaii. Actually, everything we got there was delish!

So depressing, new places have opened up all over town that I'm dying to go to but haven't been able to crawl out from under the blanket due to morning sickness.
The last awesome place I went to is called Le Bon Ton, a bar/oyster place/american BBQ joint that is housed in an old inner city pub. so dang good.

@plantains: oh we are neighbors! thats my neighborhood too! Havent tried mu ramen yet, but heard such good things about it. I think it got a good review in the ny times recently. I think we are going to try it on the next date night.

omg for new yorkers, upland was one of the best meals i've ever had in my life! we tasted 12 dishes and everything I mean everything was delicious!
