I've always loved newborns, and I really thought that when we had LO I would love that part the best. And I did love it, but she just keeps getting more and more fun! Now at 8 months I feel so lucky to have a daughter who is (in my mind) beautiful, hilarious, sweet, and brilliant! Does it get better? Worse? What's your favourite age, and why?

So far this age (just shy of 18 months). He's communicating better with us, he's super into the ABCs right now (he can say and identify magnet and foam letters on demand!). He has great receptive language and understands most of what we say to him (and will follow simple commands). It's so interesting to watch all of the new connections he's making every day!

DD is 7.5 mos. and I don't know HOW but she is getting better by the moment!

I really loved 12-15 months.
He is nearly two and I do like this age, but could do without the whining and little fits.

I always seem to love his current age the most...just gets better and better. DS is 16 months now and I am loving it (minus the tantrums)

LO is 19 months and this age is my favorite so far. She's turning into such an awesome little person, full of big personality! I love chatting with her and watching her really explore the world. She's mah little buddy

Ahh, you guys are making me so excited! I seriously had anxiety issues when LO was first born about how fast he would grow up. I pretty much had a breakdown when he turned 1 week because time was going so fast and I didn't want him to turn into a teenager in the blink of an eye (yeah..I may have been a bit hormonal).
He's only 2.5 months now, but he's more fun every day!!

My kids are 22 months and so far, it's the best! They are so much fun, they are talking so well, singing too... Terrible twos haven't hit yet, so I'm enjoying this time.

Hmm. DS at 12-24 months was so, so sweet. Before that he was sweet but he was a terrible sleeper. The 2's, 3's and first half of 4, was fun but hard with the tantrums. Now that he's getting closer to 5, he's so fun and sweet.
DD, was amazing as an infant...just easy going and sweet. 15-20 months have been fun getting to know her personality but hard at the same time. She's very defiant lately,

For me it kept getting better.
DS is 5 now and once again I am loving his age - when he turned 4 I loved it but looking back I am like eh, I like 5 better!
I think I said that with every age
Looking back I did not enjoy the newborn stage - I much prefer when they can talk and tell you what they need rather than me guessing!

For Charlie I would say 18 months - 2 years. That was the golden era that was tantrum-free, he was learning so many new words.
2-3 wasn't bad either. 3 was tough. 4 is still looking like it's not going to be easy.
With Olive, things definitely got easier once she started walking at 18 months since she was the second child. But she throws a lot more tantrums than Charlie did at her age so I'm hoping that means the 3's (she's 2 now) will be easier with her than they were with Charlie!

I think my favorite was 12-15 months when she was so agreeable and happy and learnign so much. We are hitting 16 month and instead of agreeable, we learned the word "no" and that is now her favorite one, and will use it when throwing fits

DS is 3 and I feel like it has just gotten better and better over time, each stage better than the previous one. I love that we can actually have conversations now.
DD is only 8 weeks, but I am loving the newborn stage. She's so cuddly and easy compared to DS at the same age.

Right now, DS is 6, and it's GREAT! He's independent, reading, and very self-sufficient. I can go take a nap while he's home and I know that he's playing nicely in another room (and he knows he can wake me if there's a problem). He's witty, full of jokes and gets a kick out of himself.
It just keeps getting better and better.

Now (15 months) is pretty awesome. He is so fun and playful and learns so much every day.

I really didn't enjoy the newborn stage at all. Around 3 months, things started to improve and I have enjoyed every new age more and more ever since! At 6 months she's just awesome!!

@NurseMommy: I started saying "nothing better than an x month old!" at around 8 months! But it keeps getting better IMO! I'm not a newborn person though. I loooooove the toddler stage right now. Of course I only have one so idk how I'll feel next time. Dd talks and can even say what's wrong sometimes: "juice," "muck" (milk), "stuck," etc.. She goes on the structure at the park and she walks and even runs a little. She has a huge personality. Of course this stage has brought new challenges too, but I think it's more fun, more rewarding, and I'm trying to savor it! She knows "no" but is generally still pretty easygoing or at least more predictable.

... And because I've said that she will now start an unpredictable fussy stage, lol!

Hard question! I feel defeated almost daily with my 19 month old, but when shes not whining or tantruming, she is awesome, fun and cute!
The part where infants are on a routine and start sleeping without screaming first is also a great stage.

I think that 8-11 months is the golden age in babyhood- or at least it was with both my kids. Even though we have been having a very rough week with my older DS- at 2.5 he is at an age that I'm loving: he can play really well independently, and we can have awesome hilarious conversations, plus tantrums have been pretty limited.

I really love the age that DS is right now (16 months). It feels like he knows and can do so much and let us know what he wants. I love that he's old enough to have his own personality. I love this feeling that I know him now- as a little person now instead of the general I know him because he's my child feeling.
