@Chuckles: Iβm definitely not into shaming - but I decided to opt out of the prime day deals for this reason. (Even though we are prime members) Amazon workers in Minnesota went on strike today. They are striking for basic needs like bathroom breaks.

π€Waaayyyy, too much π (nearly all on sale, though
) and, mostly all for Christmas for DH and the kids. I, absolutely, bought too much. π€¦ββοΈ
See affixed pics (* shakes head*) for evidence of overspending:
FYI - all Honest Company diapers, pull-ups, and wipes are on-sale today. (@Sams Mom)

Anyone who was looking for Melissa and Doug costumes, the vet was added to Prime Day as well as the doctor. Doesnβt do me any good as I was hoping for basically anything else lol.

Not on Amazon, but I got a Chicco Keyfit 30 Zip from Albee Baby for ~30% off this morning (they're doing "prime day deals") in case anyone else needs an infant seat.

We ordered a new car seat for my son and a Joovy Qool to replace the smoke damaged stroller from our mower mishap. (The Qool is being covered by insurance )

@cyoung: @DesertDreams88: Oh, good! I am glad I'm not the only one that overspent!
@hellobeeboston: Very cool! I bought it for my husband to keep at work... I can't wait to give it to him for Christmas.

@Kaohinani: i'm v. v. impressed with your xmas shopping. I always tell myself I'm going to be organized and do that in advance, buuuut it never happens.

@hellobeeboston: Thank you! I began Christmas shopping in June/July for the last 5+ years (while I was pregnant with my DS who happens to have a late Dec b.day). I knew I wouldn't have the energy to shop while 9 mos pregnant. π€£ It worked out so well, that summer Christmas shopping has become a tradition (besides, it also saves me some cash because I buy during Prime, Independence Day sales, and back-to-school before hitting the Thanksgiving sales for last minute items!
)

Oh good. I am not the only one who bought a lot.
I am so excited about the microfiber beach towels. Terry towels take up so much space in the beach bag. I wish I would have bought them for all four of us!
I also bought a patio glider loveseat and four patio chairs at Kohls. It gave me $40 Kohls Cash which I will use towards a harnessed car seat for DD since no one had good sales on car seats.

I was going to get another stasher bag but decided to wait and leave it on my christmas list.
I just bought board games and card games for homeschool that were already on a list I was checking. Plus Monopoly deal which was on sale for less than $5. That will probably be a stocking stuffer. There was a really good deal on Catan Jr that I missed because I didn't check out right away.

Two britax frontiers since DD is one sneeze away from outgrowing her convertible seats.
A packit lunch bag.
And DH apparently bought a new phone? He saw the deal on Amazon first. Then he saw that Best Buy had the same price, so he bought it there on his lunch break today.

@magnolia: glad I'm not the only one! My DH on the other hand just had to buy something today. Sigh.

I did most of my shopping at Target for ideological reasons but got a Chicco harnessed booster for $150 and finally bought new bath mats that are machine washable. Swim toys were on sale so I stocked up.

Updating that I got this dress on Prime day with a lightning deal but it had been on my list for a while and it is AWESOME. Super flattering, soft material, light color but not too see-through, adjustable straps, POCKETS!
Anyway I highly recommend it even outside of Prime day because it's only $20 or so. Mine is the "white striped" pattern. I bought it in XL and am 5'8" and about 210lb right now postpartum. But I think because it is stretchy around the bodice and waist I'll still be able to wear it for a long time even as my size/shape changes.
