We look on craigslist all the time... but usually don't buy things because there is no guaranty that the item will last long and you can't take it back. But lately I have been wanting to get LO some toys and hate paying full price.. tell me your craigslist success stories!

We bought him a huge set of clothes from NB-18 mos. It was a huge hit. We got two garbage bag fulls for $50. I was thrilled.
We also bought a changing table for $15, I SO wasn't going to pay full price for something you use for about a year.

We've bought tons of stuff off craigslist. Whatever we didn't get as hand me downs or gifts. A few things off the top of my head: bead maze activity cube for $5, activity table for $5, mini fridge for $30. The mini fridge was not such a great buy... it's so old and makes so much noise. I wish we had paid a little more for a slightly newer one.

only concert tickets. i buy used stuff off my local parenting listserv instead... everything from baby related to furniture!

-Bumbo + tray
-extra carseat base
-vibrating rocking chair (fisher price infant to toddler rocker)
-Phil &Teds travel crib
-ergo baby carrier (then resold on kijiji for $5 more!)I am also planning to buy a jumperoo for LO off kijiji in a couple of weeks.

I bought a Baby Bjorn carrier for $20!!! It was BRAND NEW but without the original packaging.
Apparently some shopaholic bought it and then had another carrier which she used and when she got to the point of wanting to switch over to the BB, it was too small for her tall baby.
So, I got something that costs $120.00 (the newest edition, all black) for $20.
She had it for $50 for a few weeks and noone bought so my husband shamelessly offered $20 and she's like: "FINE" -
I just bought a snap and go stroller the other day. Thats the first time I have EVER bought anything. Seeing it was so cheap and you only use it while they are in the infant carseat, I figured why not.

I haven't bought off Craigslist, but there's a facebook group in my state for moms to "sell and swap." I've done really well there! Some scores were a snap n go ($25), baby k'tan carrier ($20), newborn rock and play ($30), my little lamb bouncer ($25), bumbo seat ($10), and a PBK bumper, throw pillow & crib skirt for $30. That last one seems silly - but I wanted a cute crib skirt, and the ones on Amazon were close to $30 anyway!

For baby, I think we've just gotten the glider so far (Dutalier for $70 in excellent condition), but we scour clist for local garage and estate sales pretty regularly. We got some nice baby scores from a recent garage sale. DH is also pretty active with buying and selling from there, but he deals with collectibles, not baby gear.

As for the original topic- I've bought an ergo, unused cloth diapers, a crib, our glider, and our BOB off craigslist. All in great condition for great prices.

For the baby we bought her Pack N Play, and her bouncy chair online. I washed all of the machine washable parts and wiped down the rest. Both items were in great condition and have been used a ton by my LO.

Hubby loves to browse on Craigslist, but the only things we've purchased off the list was a router, a couple Wii games, and a few tennis rackets. We're always skeptical about the condition of the items.

For the baby, we have only bought the pack and play for 50. But, we've gotten 3 cheap cars, 2 apartments, a kitchen table, and my parents got TONS of things when they were renovating their house. I've been checking everyday for a sleeper sofa. I love craigslist:)
