I've spent a lot on gifts this past week and feel like they barely have anything to unwrap. What have you bought for your LO so far?

I ordered DS a build-a-bear last night--dressed in a Pittsburgh Pirates uniform with our last name embroidered on the back. (the Pirates are me and DH's team, obviously).
And that's it so far! I'll probably get him a couple books and small toys, but he won't be old enough to appreciate Christmas, so I'm not going crazy. And I'm sure all my IL's will spoil him this year.

A shape sorter... that's it. I think we're also going to get either a nice wooden walker or rocking horse.

@Andrea: I haven't met one LO who doesn't like the Thomas the train tables!! DS could spend hours playing with his, well worth it
I'm thinking a kitchen set, easel and bean bag chair will be enough?
I've already bought a small tea party set, a sit and spin, two personalized clocks and a piggy bank. I remember getting about 10 presents + my stocking for Christmas. Ugh. That's so much!!

@HeatherlovesKenny: we were at the store and she played with it for 40 minutes and didn't want to leave so I decided to make the investment. Wow, it sounds like you have a lot of gifts, don't worry!

LO's only 16 months so I didn't spend a lot this year since she doesn't get the concept of gifts yet. We do Chanukah so she gets 8.
1. Hair bows 2. Bubbles 3. Bath books 4. toy food 5. Chanukah puzzle 6. Chanukah book 7. Thing to hang up artwork 8. I forget the last thing.

nothing for LO. don't think we're gonna get her a Christmas gift. our families will shower her with presents so we'll just chill until she gets older.
DH wanted to get her an itouch or an ipad mini. I said no

Nothing yet, but went to target and looked around yesterday. I'd like to get her some boards books (from the $1 bin!) And a little fisher price play vanity that I think she'd like. Other than that, no clue!

@Andrea: I think I might just buy a lot of stocking stuffers from land of nod, they have quite a bit of educational toys but nothing big enough to unwrap that doesn't cost a fortune. But I only have the tea party set and clock for DD! Maybe a personalized chair....
It adds up so quick.
@bpcmarj: ooh I'll hit up the $1 bin for stockings!

I got our 3 month DD: An elephant ball popper toy, puzzles, tons of books, a monkey soother, a push toy, xylophone, play cell phone, a wobble popper toy, a laughing monster toy, a DVD, some pajamas...and some small things for her stocking. She will be spoiled this year for sure, I know she doesn't understand Christmas yet but she doesn't really have any toys to begin with...now we will have an over abundance.

@Bao: Warning- my LO got that elephant ball popper toy for her first birthday and she's terrified of it! She plays with the balls, but still at 16 months if I try to turn it on she cries.

So far, I got DD a balance bike and DS doesn't have anything yet.
@Mrs. Bee: Thinking of geting DD a dollhouse as well! I just don't know whether to go wooden or Fisher-Price type. I prefer wooden but I noticed she has more fun with the FP type toys. I'm also concerned about DS choking on little pieces.

@artbee: haha oh crap! It was on sale and we had a coupon so we got it for super cheap...maybe that's a good thing in case she doesn't like it!

@HeatherlovesKenny: I've been saving all bday party favors and other random items that we get from going to the dentist and other events. I have a whole bag full of this stuff and I'm going to use them as stocking stuffers. I haven't spent a dime.

I haven't purchased anything yet! I need to find a bday and Christmas gift!

@Bao: I figure my LO will like it eventually..... I think it looks really neat! And maybe your LO isn't as much as a scarredy cat as mine.
