So I know there was another post like this.. but I can't find it
I love seeing what other people are doing & making!
I just finished my biggest sewing project ever - an Amy Butler gumdrop pillow to use as an ottoman!
What have you made lately?

OMG I LOVE IT!!! That is totally on my DIY list. I want to make a beanbag chair for DS for his room. Once he's older he can have his own little reading nook. I have pinned a few tutorials.
What tutorial did you use?
I made the crib skirt for DS's bed!

@cocobee that is so cute! obvs we like the same types of patterns haha i love that kelly green chevron.
I actually bought a pattern - I didn't want to try and print a PDF with pieces that big or measure pieces that big The cutting and tracing was the hardest part for me, I think, because they're so long & my stomach was in the way!
This is the pattern I used: http://www.amazon.com/Amy-Butler-Pillows-Ottoman-Cushion/dp/B001762PUY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1345844649&sr=8-2&keywords=amy+butler+gumdrop
It was super easy. I did make 2 of them - one is plain white cotton and has a velcro closing (so I can add stuffing if I need to) that is the "inner" and then the chevron/owl cover has 2 zippers that zip away from one another in case I ever need to wash it. .
I bought the fabric & zippers and then stuffed with some old cheap plush blankets I cut up, and then some spare rag towels rolled up and rubber banded to add weight. I can't imagine paying for that much stuffing, and it would be so light!

Very cool!! I made a neat centers spinner for my classroom using paper plates. Not baby related but excited nevertheless.

You peeps are out of control talented. I cannot sew a button on a shirt.
I was proud of myself for trimming all of Harper's ultrasound photos and putting them in a little album I bought. That is incredibly crafty for me!

Quilt! You might have seen a bit of it on my post-processing post last week. I used the pattern from Amy Butler's Little Stitches book. It matches her sister's crib quilt (different pattern but a lot of the same fabric). I know she won't need a quilt for a few months yet, but I like sewing in the summer because my sewing area is in the nice cool basement

@Mrs. Superhero: oooh sooo cute. I am wanting to make a quilt for Cobi. I have a bunch of fun chevron and owl fabrics left over... I love good reviews for products. Was it pretty easy? Even though I sew a lot I'm bad a following patterns, so I need easy patterns.

@Coco Bee: Um, it was a bit tricky but mostly because I messed with the pattern to add more fabrics (like you I'm bad at following patterns!) Like the green and blue are both supposed to be the same fabric, and the pink and orange.
I've made quilts without a pattern too, I'll attach Toddler Girl's Quilt below. I just made it the width of the flannel backing and a bit shorter than the crib. Crib quilts are super easy because you can quilt them on your home machine. I didn't even bind them, I just pillowcased them and then topstitched.

I've got a list of projects that have been on the back burner (since I have a 4 month old that absolutely refuses to take a nap) so I wish I had more to contribute. I did make this burp cloth (in honor of the upcoming football season!) Such a bummer that I don't have more (since I live to sew!)

@jholler25: Is it horrible if I admit that I can't find my u/s pics from 2 weeks ago? All of the rest are in her album.

Since she's going to be in our room, we're turning a corner into a garden/butterfly themed part for her. It's been a lot of fun, but now I want to make so many more paper butterflies.

@Mrs. Superhero: Those are amazing! Like I'd pay money for one of those! Nice work
I am with @jholler25, I learned during planning for our wedding that crafting is not my thing.

@Mrs.Superhero love the quilt!! The colors are so cheery. I have a quilt pattern but haven't gotten the gumption yet. My mom is making our baby quilt, thankfully.
@stiffaknee cute! do you have an embroidery machine? looks so professional!
@maisymay love the paper butterflies!!
for any other sewers, I just used this free PDF pattern to sew a boppy cover: http://www.aloadofcraft.com/2010/07/tutorial-how-to-make-boppy-slip-cover.html
It was super easy! I used my own method of inserting the invisible zip (and have no clue why she says to print 2 of each pattern piece? I just printed one..) and used soft minky on the back. You could also add a little to the top and do velcro if zippers are intimidating

WOW! All you handy sewing folks are seriously tempting me to learn, but my most crafty project lately has been DS's baby book scrapbook - no pics yet though...
