following! I've always been curious about costco but have never gone in one. I did have a Sams Club membership one year and it was totally not worth it for me because it was all packaged/unhealthy stuff it seemed like-- not food I really wanted to eat. I'm curious of Costco is the same way, and if non-food stuff makes the membership worth it.

I get dishwasher detergent from there, the laundry soap (kirkland brand) is also very good. They also have a pack of Fekkai brand shampoo that I like and buy Nuetrogena Rainbath bodywash in the big container. The only thing that disappointed me was the diapers, they weren't as good as I thought they would be.

We get a lot of non food things from costco...in the last year, we bought our patio set, cantilever umbrella, full sized bed, fireproof safe, etc. I buy my husband no iron dress shirts from there, $17 a pop!

This is also our second year going to Disney using Costco Vacations!

Toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, paper towels, tissue paper, ziplock bags, windex, bathroom/kitchen cleaner, body wash, pepto bismol, advil, tylenol, breathright strips, gummy vitamins, nyquil/ zzquil, rugs, towels, kitchen appliances, kitchen utensils, kirkland hard-anodized pot set (love them!), stationary supplies, printer ink cartridges, Dyson vacuum

I think the money saved from the OTC meds.

Dog treats, does that count?

Costco's return policy is awesome so I felt better buying my Dyson there. I did get a Roomba from there (before the Dyson) and was so happy I could return it.

Then add the gas for my car and use my Costco AMEX where I get 1-3% back. It's a win-win for me.

Costco has replaced my Target trips.

We get dish soap, laundry detergent, bleach, toilet paper, paper towels, vitamins. I also agree that sponges and that sort of thing are great from there!

We also get certain food items like pasta and rice and crackers, pasta sauces for when I'm lazy, chicken to freeze.

I'm sure there are more things, but I can't think of them at the moment.

I loooove Costco. Ours is rather close but we only go every 4-6 weeks, so I think multiple trips a month is not needed unless you are buying all your fresh food there (we don't because there are only 2 of us).

We get TP, paper towels, trash bags, dish washing soap, laundry detergent, etc.

Also dog food, bottled water, Gatorade, bath towels, beer, wine.

For food we get Odwalla juice, gogurt, most of our cheese (including laughing cow, baybel, 1lb cheddar), Nutella, organic chicken, organic eggs, butter ($7 for 4 lbs), etc

They also have random awesome deals on name brand stuff like hunter boots for $100, I got my Frye ballet flats on clearance for $20. They have great seasonal/holiday stuff. They have gift certificates at a discount.

@bluestriped bee is right, their return policy is amazing! I had a tent rip open the second time I used it in a windstorm and they gave me cash back for it a year later. I rarely return things but when I do they are awesome.

We also have bought all of our TVs there over the years.

Also for quick prints I love their photo lab (and I'm a photographer) order matte prints, the quality is so much better than target or walgreens. It's not a substitute for pro printing but works great for when you need to print personal photos.

@lawbee11 yeah we go a little overboard. We already buy a 1/4 beef as needed so we have an outdoor freezer so a lot of the extras like chicken and butter are frozen.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Ditto. Everything I can get at Costco, I do. I usually get Kirkland (their house brand) for most items, but have been disappointed in their Dove-like body soap and their dishwasher detergent.

We get hubby's socks, my underwear, his underwear, his undershirts, babies' clothes (they sell Carter's at a huge discount), string cheese, organic eggs, frozen waffles, Haagen Dazs ice cream bars, Fage yogurt, beef jerky, Green Machine juice, rotisserie chickens, ground turkey, beer (they sell craft beer at our Costcos now, too), tequila, dog treats, dog food, chips/snacks, TP, Arrowhead water, paper towels, doggy flea medication, Lubriderm lotion, prenatal vitamins, diet shakes... this is just off the top of my head.

We even got our living room furniture from Costco.

I don't have a CostCo membership as the coldest in about an hour away but my best friend had one closer to her and she is an addict. She bus pretty much everything non perishable there and does a lot of dry good shopping there. I would say it's worth it. I go to Sam's since it's closer to our house and wet usually but paper goods and some groceries there. Party shopping is awesome!

We buy paper towels, tissues, dishwash detergent, ziploc bags, juice boxes, school snacks, olive oil, trash bags, organic ground beef (really good price), chicken thighs, saline solution.. fruits and veggies (but a lot of times that stuff goes bad because we can't get through it all so I try to only buy stuff we will really eat all of). Lots of stuff!

I do impulse buy a lot though, since it is a bit of a trek for me as well... we also bought my DD's halloween costume there this year.

we buy most our groceries there too - onions, salad greens, asparagus, brussels sprouts, cut up butternut squash when they're in season, lemons, oranges, berries, carrots, salami, chicken thighs and breasts, ground turkey, ground beef, steak, sausages, dumplings, tofu, eggs, milk, bread, almond butter, jam, laughing cow wedges, pirate's booty, cereal, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, olive oil, pepper and sea salt, peet's coffee beans, socks, underwear, towels, sheets, flowers, cooked rotisserie chicken (huge for only $5!).... i can go on and on.

we do all our picture printing and canvas prints there too. excellent quality canvas prints for a great price!

Also, I should add that my husband is in upper management at Costco, so our family has kind of "drank the Costco kool-aid..."

Household stuff: Toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, cleaning wipes, trash bags, and yes they are all pretty great deals! And ziplock baggies! Great deal and we have a lifetime supply pretty much!

We also exclusively buy diapers at costco (huggies), and some pantry staples are really good deals there too and they last forever since the amounts are huge (rice, oatmeal, peanut butter, honey, almonds, syrup).

@lawbee11: Yeah! We've also been to the one off I-10 near Ikea if we're up that way. Meetup at Costco is genius!

@lawbee11: Haha! I am hesitant b/c just as much as I buy random crap I don't need at Target, I feel like I'd be like that at Costco too. I was def a kid in a candy store the few times I went to Costco!

With that said, w/ a baby on the way, it'd be nice to just make one trip and get everything that will lasts a while..
