Mr Bee loooooves ginger. I like eating it with my sushi, but I don't like using it as a spice when I cook.
I love shellfish, but Mr. Bee doesn't like mussels or clams, and he doesn't eat crab because they're too much work.

DH hates anything that is bread based. He also hates anything with the smallest hint of sweetness. So no sandwiches, burgers, or similar. No sweet sauces. He hates all spices except cumin. A pulled pork sandwich would be his worst nightmare. DH is a super picky eater, which makes meals difficult (and boring).
He loves liver, and I think it is disgusting. Otherwise I am not picky!

@Mrs. Bee: I've hated cucumber my whole life - I even vividly remember the first time I was given it. My dislike for it is so bad that SOMETIMES I can't eat watermelon or honeydew because the closer I get to the rind, the more it tastes like cucumber.

Oh my gosh so many things! I blame his mother! He is a very picky eater. I LOVE lobster, steak, sushi, pork chops, and he won't eat any of those! He only eats chicken and ground beef, and shrimp if it's fried >.< It sucks lol! I'm slowly getting him to eat/try more things, but it's a battle and I wish we could go to fancy restaurants but they don't have hamburgers!!! Phew, sorry, that was a bit of a rant!

Hmmm...hate is such a strong word. I don't know if either DH or I "hate" any foods.
DH and I are both Korean. I LOVE Korean food. It's my comfort food. I could eat it every day, for every meal and not get sick of it. I also love to eat it out. DH could not eat it all the time and he hates eating it out! All the Korean food he likes to eat he says I can make at home. All the Korean food that I like to eat, I don't know how to make!
DH likes doughnuts and anything fried. No thank you. You should see him at the county fair...
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
I'm a very picky eater unfortunately. He is not... there are very few things he actively does not like, and there is almost nothing he will not eat.
a few I can think of off the top of my head:
I hate raw tomatoes, he loves them.
I hate cooked mushrooms, he loves them.
Then there are a lot of things he eats that NO one loves... like raw ground beef (there's a korean rice dish that mixes it with stuff... DISGUSTING) and raw crab.
blogger / persimmon / 1220 posts
@mrs. wagon: Ewww which Korean dish uses raw beef? I obviously have never had it!

I looooooooooooove mushrooms. He despises them.
Funny story - I made chicken marsala for him when we first started dating (like third date). I thought, ooooh if I chop up the mushrooms, it will be okay because they'll just be part of the sauce and he won't know they're there. Right. That's so not the case. Big chunks would have been better....
He has become a MUCH better eater since meeting me. He had never tried sushi when we first met, now he loves it.
