Seriously. Why do I have to fight my 3 year old to wear pants every day? It's cold in the house. I only buy you soft pants, not evil buttons or zippers, I know better now!
Sigh. Anyone else fight the pants fight every day??

We have this issue with coats. I have given up on trying to get her to wear something that I would consider weather appropriate and resort to throwing a blanket on her in the stroller at this point. She'd spend all winter in a light fleece if she had her way.
For pants, it's not as bad but she will only wear leggings. I tried to get her to wear jeans yesterday and it was like Armageddon.

We have the long sleeve battle in my house. I seriously need to make all his t-shirts disappear.

I don't know but it makes me want to stab my eyeballs out. Visitors think I'm crazy. All her album pics have her pants-less.

They're hard. They're stiff. They feel funny. They are wrinkly. They have lumps. I feel you.
@catlady: we tried on her winter coat this morning and she refused to wear it because the arms "are lumpy." The jacket has an attached fleece inside. She hates it.

@ShootingStar: yeah i made most of the t shirts disappear last week.
@catlady: she only has leggings at this point. I would never dare suggest something with a fly! (To be fair don't we all prefer stretch pants??)
We had a roof guy come out and I just couldn't be bothered forcing her into pants. It waslike, hey stranger, this is my kid. In her underwear and a t shirt. Whatever.

Yes!!! I live in SoCal so the battle only goes on for a couple months out of the year but omg, girl hates leggings like no other. She thinks she doesnt look pretty in them. I have no idea where she gets that from. It helps alittle when I let her pick leggings. But if she had her choice she'd be in dresses all day every day

@Foodnerd81: Gymboree has some fun sweatpants right now, my pants-hating DD LOVES them. Maybe worth a try? http://m.gymboree.com/shop/item/toddler-girls-warm-fuzzy-leggings-140161690

@catlady: she will wear dresses. And usually will put on soft pants or leggings when we leave the house. It's mostly that I'm like, child, I am wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt and sweater and I'm hot. Why are you refusing pants? But unless we aren't leaving the house I tend to let it go.

DD hates pants and sweaters and coats. She wants to wear a dress and fancy shoes every single day. She also likes to sleep in a tank top and underwear (but will add a winter hat and mittens to the ensemble just not pants). Sorry child you are freezing! You have to wear clothes.

@Boopers: lol. And yes that's the thing that bugs me the most. When you are only half dressed at all times, it takes forever and a day to get ready to go outside, even to do something like check the mail.

@Foodnerd81: my 4 year old doesnt want to wear pants at home either. thankfully it isnt cold here so i'm ok with it and its less laundry for me

Hey, at least they wear a top. My four year old wants to hang out in her undies....occasionally with a tutu, and not much else.

@PinkElephant: well after her nap today she came down stairs completely naked. We are working on taking off her pull-up and putting undies back on by herself... she got halfway there.

@Foodnerd81: I keep a list of funny kid quotes. When my daughter was 2 and a half we were out all morning running errands. When I said we were going home she said "Let's go home and no pants!"
So I feel your pain.

Gosh, glad to know that pants are a common problem. We had an early intervention meeting the other day and I feel like we spent most of the time discussing his hatred of pants.
