I used to work with a single mum who was also a marathon runner. The only time she could run was 4am, so she'd bundle her 8 year old into a large stroller and he'd go back to sleep while she ran!

I dunno, outside of extentuating circumstances, maybe 5 or 6?

Well, my sisters kid has autism and they still use their stroller for dland because it is too much. It is considered her wheelchair (for lack of a better term but they can take it through the lines like a wheelchair). She's 8 now.

But somewhere around 5 or 6. My little guy will probably be older because he is so tiny and will fit in it forever. But we don't use it a lot.

I think it also depends on where I don't blink an eye at an amusement park or other large arena because that's hard for kid. Walking down the streets in my neighborhood yeah they should walk.

I worry about this too. Drake still likes riding in the double and he is almost 5. He is small so I think he gets away with it more but he is going to lose his spot soon and be force to walk when this next one comes so I guess his riding days will be ending around 5 no matter what

Once they turn 6, they get the boot!

I regularly ran with B until he was 4.5 and that was around the end of it for us. Occasionally, he'll hop on the front of double stroller during a long day of walking (at the zoo or something) and he's 2 months shy of 6. I think we'll just try to take more breaks now because I remember being his age and asking my mom to hold me since my legs were tired.

Absolute oldest age? As long as they need it. I don't even think about those kinds of things for other people and I hope other people don't judge me for letting my kid use his stroller when he needs to.

I think it also depends on the trip. Just around the local mall, yea a bit of a side eye if they are 5-6. If its at Disney or around a big city, 5-6 is totally fine.

I honestly never thought about it, but we also don't use strollers all that often either.

Never thought about it -- maybe 5 or 6? I have definitely in my pre-mom days given the side eye to some larger/older kids in strollers. I should have thought about if they had special needs though... lesson learned!

Interesting. When our older kids were 6, both of them would have died of embarrassment to be in a stroller. A wagon, maybe, but a stroller!? No way!

I think 3 or 4 and they can transfer to a wagon.

Maybe I'm crazy though...

I would think 5 or 6. We run with LO a ton, so I wouldn't mind running with him up until he's 5. After that, I would want him to start running with us on his own and not in the BoB. And if he doesn't want to run, then stay at home with dad! Haha...

Other than that, LO is 2.5 and pretty much hates the stroller unless we're running.

for us, I guess when the weight limit has been exceeded by more than just a lb or two :). if we lived in a car-less place I can totally see trying to stretch that from time to time!

last time #1 rode in a stroller was back in December 2013 when we traveled to Asia and it was only for him to nap or transport through the airports. He was 3.5 then. Hasn't been in a stroller since, even when we went all over Legoland in May 2014. #2, at 2.5 prefers to walk every where too. thankfully, with three, we never needed a double stroller.
