Hellobee Boards

We made a couch, and old baskets into lamp shades. -- We do alot of DIY but those are probably the best so far.

@Mrs. Bee: So funny to see DIY projects made before we had kids!

If we did another customized Monopoly now, it would just be a Monopoly box with the word Hellobee printed out and taped to the front.

@chopsuey119: hehe thanks! They were a labor of love and the reason why I will never make jewelry for a living-- my hands killed for MONTHS after that!

And the dresses-- those were my first wedding purchase. Hehe. The weekend after we got engaged I found them at the BCBG outlet for $75 each. I called all of my bridesmaids and got their sizes and bought them! They're gorgeous floor length satin a-line ballgowns with low backs and spaghetti straps. That champagne color (and their deep red rose bouquets) were our two wedding colors.

My best DIY would have to be removing the popcorn ceiling at my house when we first bought it. Craft wise, it'd have to be the sushi platter onsie I replicated for a baby shower a few weeks back. The mommy to be owns a sushi restaurant so it worked out perfectly!

My best DIY project is probably LO's Halloween costume 2 years ago. He was Bruce lee in the yellow jumpsuit. I couldn't find one in toddler size that I liked so I decided to make it myself. It was my second sewing project ever! I had no clue what I was doing but was able to pull it off.

I'm all about crafting and diy. But of course I cant remember anything now.

@Goldilocks1107: Holy crap!! That's freaking awesome!! That's on our to do list soon - refinishing our kitchen cabinets.

That monopoly board is awesome! I did a lot of DIY for our wedding, and probably my favorite was our favors - we gave out 187ml bottles of our homemade wine with personalized labels. For the labels we used engagement pictures, named the wine "Wedded Bliss," and then on the back put an "ingredient list" based on 1 Corinthians 4-7 and a customized barcode of our wedding date.

@Mrs. Bee: I made my own Monopoly too for my sister. She wanted her own version of FSUopoly, but it wasn't nearly as pretty as yours!

I think one of my favorite DIY's was for my MIL. She had a box of old photos and it always seemed so unorganized, and I was worried that when she passed we won't know who any of those people are. So we tricked her into lending us her photos, said my husband wanted to scan some, and then I made a scrapbook with all of them. I put them in the best order that I could, and started labeling them with my husband's help. I don't think it's my best DIY, but it was awesome to see the look on my MIL's face when she got her pictures back!
