I had a tiny slice of my MIL's friend's pineapple upside down cake and it was amazing. I wanted to eat the rest of the cake!

Prime rib. I couldn't eat it rare last year because I was newly pregnant, but this year I took full advantage of the fact that we are not pregnant again and ate it very rare. Sooooo yummy to me.

BIL's baked goodies! I especially liked his raspberry panna cotta pie with amazing pie crust! But all of his pastries were heavenly A savory favorite of mine was a turkey terrine, it was store bought but wonderful.

Our hospital does a celebratory lunch or dinner for new parents, and the food was amazing! I had a yummy salmon entree with steamed veggies and polenta. DH's filled chicken breast was also seriously tasty.

Wagon Sr. grilled strip steaks for our Christmas dinner. My mom (who is VERY picky) said it was the best steak she's ever had. She finished her 14ish oz steak in less than 15 minutes!!
I also made sticky buns which were way too good. And of course there's our christmas cookies... I made shortbread cookies instead of plain sugar cookies and they are melt-in-your-mouth buttery and delish.

My dad made a beef tenderloin that was super rare and melted in your mouth. The knife slid right through it like it was hot butter it was so tender!
I made panna cotta with rum soaked raisins, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, all-spice and ginger and they were so good. It was the first time I made them and everyone loved them so I plan to make them again. Seriously easy to make and super yummy (impressive looking too!)

Not to toot my own horn, but I made some pretty freaking awesome food yesterday - Nutella baked french toast for breakfast, and then steak with lobster mac and cheese and creamed spinach for dinner. If I had to pick one, I'd say the french toast - it was AMAZING!

Brisket. The best marinade and slow cooked or 7 hours made it so, so good.

Ugh nothing. Christmas dinner was at the in laws this year. They do instant everything...microwaved
mashed potatoes, stove top stuffing...it really makes me miss my mom's cooking and "formal" meal. I will have to go over there for leftovers today...

@autumnlove: lol, no, it's called plum pudding as well and it's steamed and dark and gooey with dried fruit and Christmas spices and you serve it with brandy sauce. SO delicious!

We made the yummiest Christmas dinner yesterday -- we marinated chunks of brisket in red wine with onions, garlic, thyme, and carrots overnight, then cooked it at a low temperature for three hours in more red wine and beef stock with carrots, parsnips, and pearl onions. The meat turned out so tender, it basically fell apart when touched with a fork! We'll definitely be making it again
