I'm sitting on the sofa nursing S and staring at the fireplace, when I notice almost half of our "new baby" cards have pictures of giraffes on them! Why is that? It seems a random animal!

They're cute!! But you're right, even my son has picked up on it. At almost 3 he's obsessed with piñatas. He insists his baby sister's first birthday piñata is going to be a giraffe. Insists. He is wrong, it's a clown LOL.

We got into the giraffe thing for baby because we got married at the giraffe exhibit at the zoo. The animal holds a place in our hearts.

We got a lot of giraffe things for Chloe, too. I have some in her room and she plays with the others. Giraffes are one of my favorite animals!

C is into elephants partly because we went to an elephant safari on our honeymoon. But you know, it's the two month old who is into them, not me.

@Foodnerd81: @Mrs. Jump Rope: @Dandelion: Thanks! We made it clear we didn't want a giraffe themed wedding but when baby came along within our first year of marriage we decided the nursery would be a great place to incorporate the giraffes!
