At our 6 month visit, our lo had her flu shot. My husband took her in today for a sick visit and the doctor told him she is eligible for the flu booster shot. I told him to go ahead and get it (I was in a meeting and couldn't ask further questions at the time). What exactly is the flu booster shot? Our lo is 8 months old now.

Hmm, @Mrs Jacks would know but it's probably just a second flu shot. The flu shot only gives you immunity for like 4-6 months i think? So if it runs out while it's still mid flu-season they might offer you another.
ETA: I just saw LO got her first one only 2 months ago.. so i have no idea.

I think the shot they give kids requires 2 doses
ETA:Look under the administration reccomendations for 6 months-8 years. It looks like if it is their first year getting the flu shot they get 2 doses

Infant flu shot requires 2 doses--second one must be at least 4 weeks after the first one. We also got #2 at 8 months.
