I know a mom who is pregnant with her 9th child. The oldest is 12-13 I think. She's one of those that doesn't use birth control as a religious belief.
My grocery bill is so much for just us three, I couldn't imagine for nine kids!

They are slightly older than us but I know a couple who just had their 6th kid in August.

A local friend has 14 kids. 4 bio, 8 foster children adopted and 2 current foster placements. She seems way more out together than I could ever be. And I don't know her exact age, but 30sish

A friend who is 31 (so roughly my age) is pregnant with her 4th but they got married at 18. Their oldest is 10 I think. I've only met the oldest two kids since they have moved out of state.

@anonysquire: Wow! What's the age range on her kids? Does she have family to help her out? She sounds like a rock star.

We have grad school friends that have six. Their oldest is nine and the youngest is 18months. No multiples.
She has been pregnant pretty much the entire time we've known them.

One of my best friends just turned 30 and has 4. 6,4,3, and 5 months.
A friend of my husbands has 4 as well: a 3 yr old, twin one year olds and a 5 month old

@PinkElephant: the oldest is 14. And the foster placement is twin babies. I know she has 3 of one of the ages. Like 3 5th graders or something like that. And I think both sides of family live out of state. She for sure is a rockstar!!

I know a couple friends with 3 kids but I can't think of anyone with even 4.

@birdofafeather: Right?? She handles it like it's no big deal, though! It amazes me.

@winniebee: yes! I can't imagine how tired my body would feel if I were her - my body already feels beat up enough from 3 babies in 3 years....I couldn't do 7 more pregnancies in the next 8-9 years. No way.

That'll be ourselves soon with 4 kids under 4. No one we know IRL has more than 3, most just have 2.

Just one family with 4 kids, but the oldest ones (twins) were only 2.5 when the youngest was born!

They're a little older, but my next door neighbors have 4 - one teenage daughter and *triplet* 10 year old boys.

A former roommate has 8 kids, aged 6 and under. 5 are adopted and she just gave birth to her third bio kid.

I have a friend with nine kids. Catholic She is about five years older than me though.
Of friends who are exactly my age, I don't think I know anyone with more than 3 kids, and even that is uncommon. Most have one kid or maaaybe two.

I don't know anyone other than my MIL with more than 4 in real life. I know a couple of families from church and my birth group with 4.

I can think of three families with 6 kids. One is a good friend of mine and I know the others from Jr.HS, so we're not very close. Most are from blended families, except for one with 6 sons!

My coworker who is 1 or 2 years younger than me just had twin girls, and she already had two boys, so she has 4 under four. Her second boy was born 10 weeks before mine, and I went to her wedding a few years ago, so it feels even more surreal to me and different than my life with my one!

Some of our good friends have 8 kids (two are adopted), and another family I know from growing up has 6. Oh, and my brother has 6, but four were adopted in the last two years.
