Our savings just got totally wiped out by huge pet medical bills and a total sewer line replacement at our home. So now we'll be saving primarily to replace that, and also just to get into the habit of saving a big chunk every month. We're well able to, we just haven't been because we haven't been pressed to do so. It was irritating to lose our nice savings, but this was a good kick in the pants to sort our budget out.
I was feeling kind of down on myself for being in a tight financial spot for the next few weeks, but when I looked at it, we've had $8000 in emergency expenses the last three months. We dealt with that all out of pocket - no credit card involvement. I think that would throw most people.

We just sold our condo and some of our savings will be going towards downpayment and closing costs on a new house. After that we'll probably work on replenishing what we took out of savings and saving for any home improvement projects we might need to do. Also since I'm SAHM now I need to contribute to my Roth IRA.

We just paid off our student loans (YAAAAAAYYYYY), so we're now saving for new windows. Unfortunately, we have a ton of windows in our house, and it's going to cost upwards to $20,000

A few days at Disney World followed by a cruise. I'm also saving to replace this carpet. I HATE IT!
