So my LO is fine now but I realized I probably would be too quick to go to the ER if something seemed wrong.

I went to the gym and in daycare they only come get you if LO has been inconsolable for 15 minutes. Well, my LO was screaming bloody murder for 10 minutes and they got me because it was not a regular "fussy" baby.
I came and we undressed him and checked to make sure no hairs were wrapped around his fingers or toes, no rashes, etc.... eventually he calmed down a little, screamed a few minutes, calmed down again and I walked home with LO in a sling. He fell asleep in the sling and I was thinking--if he does this again I'm going to the ER.

So I called DH (he's at work) and he says--no try Tylenol first.
Oh. Good point.

Anyway LO is asleep and fine now.

I think I have to figure out what means wait it out, what means make a regular pediatrics appointment the next morning, and what means go to the ER.

How do you know if your baby/LO who can't speak needs something more than you can provide?
