We loved our ergo. Used it for about a year. I think I got ours for a little over 100? 120ish?

Boba 3G. It retails for about $120. They have a lighter version that retails for $65. It is good for a child up to 45 lbs.

Now: Ergo
Newborn: Blue Celery wrap-sling (still use it, but not for 'walks')

Beco Gemini for 4 mos+ - it is amazing!! It is $129. The only thing I don't like about it is there is no pocket in the front like the Ergo. However, with the Beco you can face out. I also love the variety of prints and colors - it's so cute!! I have the owls and get so many compliments on it.
Check out Paxbaby.com for help on choosing a carrier - she carries all the ergonomic carriers and really knows her stuff!

I have the exact same carrier as @Coco Bee and I love it! So versatile and the print is adorable.

i have the beco gemini too - robot and some other print. color fades right away (after 1 wash!) but if you don't care about that....

Another Beco Gemini user here. I have the foxy print and it has definitely faded, but it's a great carrier. LO is 5 months and I've been using it since the beginning.

@Coco Bee: @mamabolt: @tequiero21: I've been thinking about ordering this from PaxBaby to address the lack of pockets on the Beco Gemini: http://shop.paxbaby.com/mai-poketto/

We have a bunch but no baby to try them in it yet Just wanted to say it might be worth searching in your area to see if there is a babywearing group. I know there is one here in Kansas City that has regular meetings so folks can show up and try different stuff on (and, presumably, other things) and they have a lending library. Good luck!

I'm crazy about our beco Gemini. I use it every day. The pattern has faded a little from the wash but it's on the inside so it's not a big deal. It has been the single most useful baby item we bought. It's really comfortable and doesn't hurt my back at all.

I have an Ergo and a Baby Ktan. I use the Ktan around the house and Ergo when we go out.
We actually also have a Baby bjorn and a Britax that we haven't used but I'm trying to sell those.... My husband likes to tease me that we have every carrier on the market!

I have the beco butterfly II and I love it! Except the material picks up lint like crazy so not super happy about that. But functionality wise, love it!

I liked the Moby when she was tiny. I have an Ergo now but I REALLY wish I could do frontfacing out with it.
I really, really want a Beco Gemini.

@Coco Bee: I have that same carrier but haven't used it yet since it's more like my husband's carrier in the mean time. =P Do you find that the clasps in the back for the shoulder straps is hard to buckle?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@cranberryapple: I never unbuckle them. I keep them buckled at all times, and just pull all the strap over my head. Makes it much easier
