If you could chose, which month would you want your LO to be born in and why?
DH thinks I'm crazy for not really wanting a August/September baby. I don't want to be pregnant in that kind of heat and have to deal with "red shirting" at kindergarten. I would love a October or March baby

I voted June because DH is a teacher and it would be nice to have his help in the beginning and he would still most likely be off when I'm done mat leave.

I'd say either October (when DD was born) or May. I hate the idea of a winter baby (even though we're expecting a January baby) because of how easy it is to hurt your big pregnant self outside in the Canadian winter. Summer babies also don't really appeal to me- so I'll likely end up with one of those when we're expecting #3. Haha!

Well I already have an August & April baby... Ideally I'd like a February baby next but I don't think that's gonna happen. I think anytime between Feb & May is good though!

I vote February-May. (I voted April, since thats when C was born). Anytime in the spring, when I dont have to be pregnant all summer.

I'd love a May or June baby to be able to have the summer off for maternity leave. I have a late September baby now, and it was great while the weather lasted, but the winter months were really hard...especially since he was pretty colicky. I just wish we could have gone out more.

I didn't vote because I'm now in the anytime as long as its soon camp. But originally, I wanted a baby around late November/December when work is slow and there is more time off for me and DH. This past year I decided that would be a bad idea because of the chaos of the holiday season But now, just give me a baby, anytime!

Sometime late in the summer or early fall. I voted October since that's my favorite month for many many reasons - our anniversary, Oktoberfest, Halloween, etc. I'm so sick of being pregnant during the winter months, I want color and heat! DS was born in January and DD was born in March.

August - me, hubs, pup all have bdays in august and our anniversary

I'm not gonna vote but LO is due in November which works out pretty well for us... DH farms so spring (planting) and fall (harvesting) would be hard. Plus, being due at the end of November is the ONLY way I can get Thanksgiving, Christmas AND New Years off at work. Wooooooo!

May: I can work the whole school year and have the summer off with baby. All of our birthdays are April - June AND not pregnant when it is over 100 (well except this year).

I like early spring. I had LO at the end of May and while it was nice to avoid being pregnant over the summer, it was really, really hot after she was born - like, too hot to take her out sometimes. Since I know that the early weeks are pretty much spent at home establishing a nursing relationship, my vote is for March. Not too cold to go out, and it gives you a little bit of time to drop some poundage before having to wear a swimsuit.

I voted January because I do not want to be huge pregnant during the summer. Also, and this may sound foolish, but we are athletes and believe January babies have an advantage over December babies ( not always of course!).

My husband and I are both October babies and we love the fall, so I voted for October. If our first IVF goes as planned we will end up with a May baby and that sounds perfect too!

I wanted an October-December baby (preferably October), mostly because it's my favorite time of year. I actually really didn't want an August baby, because I dislike the month (although I shouldn't, since as it turns out both my husband and son are August babies, and I met DH in August).

I had an April baby which I liked, I wasn't hot and miserable pregnant in the scorching hot summers and it wasn't too hot or cold when DS was born.
Next time I want a Fall or Holiday baby though!

I voted May. With LO he was supposed to be a July baby and it would have been HOT being pregnant in the summer in DC.

We aimed for a fall baby because I wanted my maternity leave to span the holidays and we were successful in having a late Nov baby. But next time around I will aim for a Spring/Summer baby because I think the cold and darkness of winter intensified my baby blues.

Late June! I want a summer baby! So that is early enough in the summer I don't have to be really pregnant in the summer.

November. Because DH has significantly more work flexibility in the winter. When P was born in May he went back to work 3 days later and worked looooong hours for the next 3 or 4 months! I would love for him to have more time with our next newborn.

@regberadaisy: I considered June too! Really I think we want two more & I liked us having consecutive birthday months... until I realized that meant throwing birthday parties, April, June, July, & August! eek! lol

I voted April so I dont have to deal with DC heat, but get a nice long maternity since I have July and half of August off. But I'll take any time

I voted April, for a silly reason. I was born in September, and when I invited friends for birthday parties, I was only able to choose friends in my class, because that was the only way to hand out invites. So, I only got to invite the friends I knew from the previous year which wasn't all my friends! Then, by the end of the school year I'd made new friends and was sad they didn't get to go to my birthday party.

I think a Spring baby would be nice! Hubby's birthday is in January, mine's in October, and DS's will be in August. A Spring baby would be a nice mix!

Sometime in the fall or spring. I have a summer baby and it was miserable in the Florida heat. But I'd worry about having to pull on some tights and boots in the winter with a big belly.

I'm hoping for a spring baby next round Mar - May. I have an October 1st baby and man that was a HOT summer, but loved being home in the fall, September would be nice too.

DH and I are dying to start TTC but we both want a spring baby so we're aiming for august so I can be due at the end of April/beg of May
I have an October baby so, I was VERY pregnant all summer and it sucked.
Then, I was stuck at home all winter with a baby. It wasn't fun.

April or May, just so I could avoid being too pregnant at the hottest time of the year. Hopefully I'd be able to avoid morning sickness during that time too.

When I realized I'd be due in August I wasn't thrilled because I live in Texas and I am going to be a huge preggo whale when it's 100 degrees outside. But, the more I thought about it the more excited I got because now I'll be on maternity leave in the fall (it's actually really nice here that time of year!) so I'll be able to take the baby for lots of walks around the neighborhood! In theory I'd love to be due in the spring, but then I'd be on maternity leave in the summer and probably wouldn't be able to take baby outside for very long because of how hot it gets.
