I'm trying to come up with a new (or used) toy or two to add to our indoor toy box. Suggestions for the 1 year old?

These. Specifically the all red one. He thinks its the funniest thing he's ever seen since it bounces well.

@BananaPancakes: hahaha we have the balls with bumps and DD will nurse on it
Right now, DD loves the play kitchen but mostly just the play food.

For my LO it's her musical instruments: a little piano, a drum, and a tambourine.

Ooh balls! Yes! We went to a get together yesterday and she was obsessed with one of the balls they had. Funny how it seems like it's the little things they love best.

@regberadaisy: Haha! Yes, we have the same one. I wish we could share video. I have a video of LO playing the piano where she looks like Schroeder from the Peanuts gang.

Fisher Price Corn Popper. Still a hit at over 2. I think it is the toy that has gotten the most mileage so far. http://amzn.com/B00000IZOU

@regberadaisy: is it the baby grand piano???!! My LO has a little tiny piano but we just picked up the M&D "baby baby grand" for her bday next month.
LO loves anything musical. She loves, loves, loves snowglobes that play music. She also really loves toys that make noise when she shakes them; one of the biggest hits at our house is an empty Rx or Advil type bottle filled with dry beans. She shakes those for what seems like hours haha

@regberadaisy: oooh cool!!! Haha I got suckered into the picture on the box of the baby grand and didn't even notice until I looked at it just now that it says "ages 4+" lol, 4.....1.....mom fail

@yoursilverlining: bahaha maybe save the bench for when she's older? My daughter "plays" her piano by kneeling.

@pelikila: ha! Tried and true! I have this on my toy wish list but I hate to buy another toy when he already has so many and I could get a book instead. For $15 I might just cave for his first bday on the 19th!
J loves his plastic tonka truck - he puts everything in the bucket part (balls/blocks, small books, cars, ect) and then moves it around and unloads it...and then moves it around and then loads it again

It plays songs and rolls around on the floor. DD loves pressing the bottons and dancing along with the songs. If your kid loves music too, then I would recommend it.

My LO loves balls, magnets and lift-the-flap books. He also loves playing with containers with lids that I put beads inside (he likes to pick out the beads and put them back in one by one...thankfully they rarely go in his mouth).
In terms of big toys, he got a Little People garage thing that he really likes. He throws all of the cars and people down the ramp over and over. Oh, and he also loves Scout (girl version is violet).
