I have been biting and peeling my nails for years and I HATE IT! I was able to stop for a few months last year for my wedding but I started nibbling on my honeymoon.
What is your worst habit?

Watching too much HGTV! I have never watched so much HGTV since I gave birth to our son. I feel like all of my time is spent either pumping or nursing, so I need something to entertain

leaving trash around the house and my car.
I'll eat a piece of gum and leave the wrapper on the table instead of putting it in the trash. HAHA. Drives DH crazy.
I'll also open up milk and oj and leave the little plastic fresh seal in the fridge. JAHAHAHHA
Once DH found 6 in the fridge and wanted to keel me.

Procrastination- for non-fun activities. I'm busting at the seams to do stuff that's fun and exciting, but laundry or the gym- I will put it off AGES. Oh the dread:(

@chopsuey119: You sound just like my DH and his wrappers!

another vote for procrastination. usually with big things in my life - then i end up doing everything i've procrastinated on at the same time because a deadline has come up and it is way more stressful than it has to be.
my other one is that i leave all the cabinets open in the kitchen after getting something down. i have no idea why i do this, and i just noticed it a couple years ago.

Physical - nail bitting and picking at my arm scabs. I also am horrible at tidying up.

I open up Snapples and then don't finish them and open up a new one. Eventually I have to run around before it's too late and drink all the half-full Snapples...

Procrastination is my worst habit. Also, I don't give up control easily or ask for help.

Oh, another couple of bad habits I have is that I always forget to put the toothpaste cap back on. I also don't shut drawers all the way. When I get clothes out, I tend to almost shut the drawers but fail to somehow close them completely.

I obsessively research things...and I mean everything. It's just what I do. People love me for trivia, but I think my worst habit is having to constantly add something to everything someone says. I think I seem like a total know-it-all. I can hear myself opening my mouth and just can't stop. Surprisingly, I've asked quite a few people and they say they like it because they never have to look anything up...they just ask me, but I can't stand that I do it.

DH hates that I never finish drinks, water bottles, soda cans, juice boxes... I've been better at it since pregnancy though!

hah control freak, ftw. when I get something in my head (for instance, moving a piece of furniture from dining room to kitchen), I cannot wait until DH is ready to help me - it must. be. done. NOW.
I also am really, really struggling/working hard on not criticizing DH for doing things his own way - like only 1/2 washing the dishes and then I have to re-do them all. my mid-year resolution is to just appreciate his efforts!

@blushink: omg I pick at my arm scabs too..!!! SO BAD!!!! It's the worst when you have a scar for years because of a scab you've picked over and over... and when people ask you where the scar is from... so embarassing.
I also bite and pick at the skin around my nails... not the actual nail or the cuticle. It's a horrible habit. I was able to stop for a year or two but it's come back.
I also bite the insides of my cheeks and the sides of my tongue. Time to time I'm able to stop that but it's a nervous habit so it comes back whenever I'm stressed out.

I have KP so I'm horrible about scratching at my skin. Actually anything skin related, I'm bad about - pick at scabs, pop my pimples, etc. Gross, I know.

@Mrs. Wagon: I pick and bite at the skin around my nails, too! I get yelled at all the time at work because I am in and out of patients' rooms - the nurses tell me I'm going to make myself sick. I always use the antibacterial stuff, but still - sooooo gross!

@eiko2010: ugh... it's the worst, right? my nails always look like hell. I should invest in manicures to stop myself from doing it, but I find that the day after a manicure there's all this juicy stuff to pick (like skin peeling, etc)!!!
honeydew / 7504 posts
@Mrs. Wagon: Yeah, manicures are not a foil for me. Inevitably, with the hand sanitizer, the polish chips so I start picking at that and then it's off to the skin again.
