spent about $175/kid. i'm probably just as excited to give them their gifts as they are to open them!

in years past we spent very little since they didn't know better. gifts also tend to cost much more as they get older!

No budget but we spent about $350. Seems a little insane but I ended up getting a higher-end balance bike with the hope that it will last through more than one kid, and a set of Magnatiles with birthday money from his grandfather a couple months ago that I hadn't gotten around to spending yet. I feel strongly about not buying gifts randomly throughout the year or expecting a little knick knack every time we go to the store, so I want to consolidate gifts to just birthdays and the holidays as much as possible.

No budget but spent around $50. I spread that out over the last 2 months too.

@anonysquire: ahaha, 'the one outside my uterus got more'. Love it.
I think we spent about $35. But she is going to get totally spoiled by our family, so I really didn't feel like we needed to get her much. I got some books, a replacement sleep sheep (for $19!!) and a big bag of yogurt covered raisins. Kid will be in heaven.

It didn't really occur to me to make a budget. I don't actually even know how much I spent. She just likes opening presents so she has three toys (blocks, doll stroller and an ikea train set about $50) but then we needed a $10.00 gift to bring to a party for Santa to hand out, and her advent calendar was filled with finger puppets, and then she has a little stocking.... but I think we're still under $100, other than the "necessities" that I've wrapped up (a potty, a seat protector for under her carseat, a case of pouches) just because she thinks it's fun to open presents.

We spent around $20? I got her a Melissa and Doug play pizza kit and a bottle of piggy paint since she's now obsessed with nail polish.

    She'll be a happy camper.

No budget, but I shop really early - I normally buy gifts throughout the year (on sale) and stash them away. One of her gifts I've held on to for 2 years!
