Hahaha love this. My husband has learned that complaining to me about how tired HE is is NOT ok.

@MamaMoose: ditto!! i give him the evil eye and it makes him think twice about what comes out of his mouth (i can pretty much anticipate when he's about to say it, haha!)
speaking of... right after i pushed out our first baby... the first words out of my husband's mouth was, "i'm sooo tired" (he was walking the halls with me while i tried for an unmedicated birth) - you should've seen the look on my face!

@Mrs. High Heels: oh my God. If I had been there I would have smacked him for you.

omg..I laughed out loud! especially the foot in the eye..that's how i wake up every morning.
then i'm like, here O - have a boob - please shhh and go to sleep - no this isn't funny - why don't you milk-coma anymore?!?! go to sleep!

@Mrs. High Heels: LOL! my husband did the same! we didn't have any time to walk the halls, so he literally sat the whole time at the hospital. sat in triage while i had to drag myself to and from the exam room, then they finally got me into a room and i was already ready to push. afterward he was like, "I'm exhausted. I need to sleep." ...uh, seriously? the most you did today was WALK TO THE ELEVATOR!

I seriously laughed out loud at this! DH heard me from the living room & came in wondering what was so funny! He read it, laughed, & said "that's the ticket". I swear, dads shouldn't be allowed to have baby fever bc all I could think in response was "And YOU want another one?!" *cue eye twitch*. Lol

This is totally my life only I don't have the 4.5 year old, just the starfish baby and two cats. I'm actually writing thus while wearing my baby as a scarf in bed. I want to get up but I'm afraid of waking her.

Starfish baby, 3 cats, tiny bladder and a snoring husband. This was us for 5.5 months before we moved him to his crib. I think I can now be roused by him on the monitor, shuffle into his room and settle us both on the futon to nurse without even opening my eyes. My husband doesn't open his eyes either, but that's because he's a jackass who can sleep through his child crying and then, yes, complain the next day that he's tired. Grr...
But this totally made me LOL.

This is hilarious. It's a total schadenfreude thing, but I'm glad it's not just me!

@sorrycharlie: Right? Why don't they milk coma anymore? I thought that would always be a 'thing' but it went away so fast. Ahhhh. Whoever coined the term 'sleep like a baby' clearly had no kids.

This made me laugh out loud 4 times. DH was all, "what's so funny?" Pfft.

This is our 3rd and my husband still has no idea, and continues to tell me he needs 8-10 hours of sleep or HE IS EXHAUSTED:/

The starfish baby made me LOL. And my DH just snores through it all. And now that she's not in our room I am awake at every movement in the monitor!

@MamaMoose: ha! i almost did! we both laugh about it now.
@sorrycharlie: hahahaa, oh boy!... my husband tells me all the time that men would be EXTINCT without women. seriously.
@mrsmenow: you let him get away with 8-10 hours of sleep?! you are far more kind than me! he's lucky if he gets 6.

@mrsmenow: My husband was that guy, but now he handles any night feedings and I stay in bed, usually waking long enough to notice he's awake and then I go back to sleep. DH is well trained.

Omg! I'm laughing as silently as possible over here! I can relate except for the toddler part but the "important rock" thing was hilarious! Seriously DH can sleep through the night and peek at me with one eye while I'm nursing, grumble, roll over, and wake up saying how tired he is! In fact, he did the same thing while I was in labor! Argh men!
The staying like a statue while waiting to hear if baby is in deep sleep - that's my life every night!

OMG I seriously LOL because this was DH this morning when the baby woke up early at 5am. I love the starfish reference too because when we coslept the baby would take up my whole side
