I think my mom had both unmedicated and medicated. FMIL had all csections.

Mom had one unmedicated birth (NOT by choice, they refused to give her the epidural when she wanted one because she was too far along)
MIL had two C-sections.

Mom had two medicated then three unmedicated births. She thought the epidural was worse than the la bor!

My mom had 7 unmedicated births...she is a champ! Not sure if I will be able to live up to that legacy! Lol I am a big baby when it comes to pain!

My mom and mil both had epidurals. I think my stepmom went unmedicated.

My mom had 2 medicated. However, from what she tells me they were super easy and I hope to follow that path!

I was a C-section.
I believe my MIL said she was knocked out for at least her two oldest kids - oldest will be 41, so I guess they were still doing that? I believe my husband was also a vaginal birth but not sure if/what type of medication she had.

Mom had 3 unmedicated births, MIL had one c-section due to DH being breech.

My MIL had a c-section (DH and his sister are twins).
My mom had 3 c-sections. But I'm not supposed to know about the first one!! :O

My mom was induced because the doctor didn't think she would be able to deliver me if I got any larger but she delivered without the use of pain meds. She only had one baby.

My mom had two planned c-sections. When we were talking about my labor, she said that she never felt contractions, etc. Considering how much my MIL overshares about DH and BIL's childhood, I don't know if she had vaginal deliveries or c-sections thankfully.

Mom had 2 unmedicated births. Birthmom had 2 unmedicated home births (& not sure about her other 2).

My (super)mom had 2 cesareans and a VBAC!
#1(me): turned breech a week before due date and was sectioned under general anesthesia.
#2: had meconium, and triple nuchal cord so emergency section under general anesthesia.
#3, who happened to be the biggest baby of us all: she somehow convinced them to let her do a totally unmedicated VBAC. She is such a champ! I don't know any doctors these days who will do a VBAC after two sections!!

My mom had three natural/unmedicated births. I believe MIL had two natural/unmedicated births also, but I don't know for sure. I do know that she had to have a hysterectomy after she gave birth to DH, but that's about all I know.

For my mom, one unmedicated home birth and one unmedicated hospital birth. For MIL, one unmedicated hospital birth. I had a LOT of support and encouragement for my unmedicated birth, haha!

My mom had two c-sections, one after a failed VBAC. She never dilated past 3 cm with either of us and the hospital did automatic c-sections after 24 hours of labor.
I don't know about MIL's first birth, but with my husband, it was a c-section.

My mom had FOUR unmedicated vaginal deliveries. With me (3rd out of 5) she was induced because her water had broken and contractions never started, but no pain meds. She almost had to have a c-section but then I was born! She has had generally quick, uncomplicated deliveries so I'm hoping i inherited that!

My mom just had me and since I was a giant baby she had a c-section.

My mom and MIL are both tiny asian women, 5 feet tall, narrow hips. My brother was an emergency c-section and I was a planned c-section. I believe MIL had two planned c-sections.

Both were supposed to be medicated. My mom swears the drugs did not work in my case.

My mom had 3 unmediated births. Technically 4? Her first pregnancy was twins, and she delivered them both unmediated, even though one of the twins was posterior breech! She was joking with the nurse at E's birth that she's likely be an automatic c-section now (although the nurse was confident that she'd at least be given the chance to try--in the OR. Mom said after the first (head down) baby came out the OB reached in and pulled out the second by his leg!)
My MIL also had three unmediated births. She apparently gave my SIL some grief over thinking about an epidural but 6 years later saw mine in action and thought it was the coolest thing.

My mom had two c-sections (First was emergency, life-threatening, second was routine/scheduled).
cherry / 165 posts
Three c-sections where the first was an emergency, and the other 2 were scheduled since the first one was a c-section.
No idea what my MIL's births were like, though I'm sure I will find out when/if we are pregnant and are discussing these things.

Mum had 2 emergency c-sections. She desperately wanted to go all natural with me, but eventually got the epidural and after 30-some hours did the c-section. Wasn't as long with my sibling.
Inverted uterus, so she couldn't have children naturally. Figured that out after my sibling, but they stopped after the 2nd.
Don't know MIL. She's not really the type to talk about that stuff. Curious if she will when we get KO'd...
