I try to mix it up a bit... some books to expand my mind, and some books to zone out. I also try to bring at least one large paperback, in case I run low on batteries on my ereader. Then I can leave that book behind for my dad to read.
What kind of books do you read on vacation? Any recommendations??

I read mysteries and fiction. I like to re-read old favorites, too. Paperbacks are best on vacation - they can get wet or be left behind with no worries.

Mostly novels, sometimes non-fiction and biography type books. I like some YA books too.

usually it is something to just zone out & not think too much. i can't even remember what i read last year on vacation!
the most recent book i read was "bringing up bebe" by pamela druckermann. i really enjoyed it.

I feel like my kindle never runs out of battery! but it's the old paperwhite type, so maybe it's just barely using any battery haha.
I stick to easy reads or re-read my favorites like Harry Potter or Pride & Prejudice.

I'll bring whatever I'm reading at the time. Currently I'm in a young adult kick, but sometimes I'll be reading a long fantasy novel.
