We don't really have daycare centers here, other than those affiliated with churches. And those are so expensive, so we are going with an in-home run by a retired preschool teacher.

Here, churches have cheaper care, but they only do preschool...not full-day day care.

Trying to decide between center and in-home right now! I finally found one center that's cheaper than all the rest b/c they branch off of a special needs school so I think they get govt funding for being integrated.

Daycare - they don't have church based full time daycare centers here. If they did, we would probably have her in one.

We use family care, both of our parents help us, my husband works 4 days a week and my sister fills in when we're stuck. It can be crazy sometimes, lots of driving around and managing everyone's schedules but he has really special relationships with his grandparents. We will probably try to budget for part time daycare when he's around 2.5.

We go to a center based daycare. It's in the basement of a church but not otherwise affiliated with the church in any way. We love it - it's n a very naturey area so the older kids can go in trail walks, they keep their own garden, the food is very healthy and cooked on site (organic milk, cage free eggs, pescatarian menu), they do art with the kids every day (even infants!).

My mom watched DS1 until he went to preschool/daycare at 2. Then she watched DS2. Plan is for her to watch LO3 and by then DS2 will in preschool and DS1 will be in real school.

I voted combo of above..it was a licensed day care center on the grounds of a catholic school and grandma care.
