We got a lot of comments about LO being huge, big, or healthy. I didn't think she was that big at 8 lbs, 1 ounce. I'm 5'2" so most people thought she was gonna be 6-7 lbs.

charlie was 8 lbs 6 oz which is big for me! people said he was big, but i know babies that were born bigger.
olive was 4 lbs 15oz which was tiny... but she was born 5 weeks early so not that surprising and not many comments about her weight.

How big he was! He was 8 PDS 6 ounces and I'm barely five feet tall and tiny so he was pretty big for me. Lol. Drs were expecting him to be even bigger though

That he was big. He was 7lbs 11oz--I didn't think he was that big at all!

No comments really. She was 8 lbs 5 oz, but I am 5'8" and DH is 6'4" so no one expects us to have small babies.

DD was 7 lbs 6 oz, so that's a pretty normal size! I'm 5'8 but was carrying really small (consistently measuring at least two weeks behind at every appointment) so I had no idea what to expect. As she was such an average size, no one made any size comments one way or the other.

LO was 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches... My husband's uncle asked if she walked out, another uncle asked when she starting kindergarten. Ha ha ha

People always say the weirdest things, no matter what. I told my MIL that when I was born I was 7 pounds 2 ounces and she said "wow, so you were big!" WTF? Anyway, sorry to thread jack.

She was 5 lbs 2 oz at birth, but then dropped to 4 lbs 11 oz. she was born full term so everyone remarked about what a peanut she was. She's 5 weeks now and 7 lbs 1 oz and people think she's a newborn instead of being over a month old.

How huge he was. Especially compared to me and even from the nurses (he was 8 lbs 12oz)

She was 6 lbs 5 oz and dropped down to 5 lbs something super quick. I'm 5'1 so I don't think people were very surprised she was small, and also, I think they were all distracted with her full head of hair! People comment more now on how small that she is being 4 months and a little over 11 lbs.

They said he was a big boy - 8lbs 2oz 21.5" - I'm really petite, pretty big for me I guess.

how "good" that was....except he dropped a pound the day after birth so he really was 6lb9oz (at 19.5") for awhile. He rebounded though and was 7lbs12oz at his 2 weeks.

@DigAPony: I was 7 lb 2 oz at birth too and it came up with a coworker a while ago who proceeded to tell me how huge I was.
LO was 8 lb 5 oz, 21 inches and everyone commented on how big she was (I'm a little under 5'5). DH is 6'2 though and they anticipated her being even bigger.

Most people dont comment much on the weight. She was smaller than I expected at 6lbs 9oz

I had the same comments. My LO was 8 lbs 4 oz and because I didn't get huge they kept telling me she was going to be small. Nope!

My son was born at 4.5 lbs and people comment on how healthy he is even though he was a preemie. It annoys me! He was always healthy he's just small.

LO was 9lbs 1oz, I'm tall'ish (5'9'') and thin, but gained 56lbs thru pregnancy, all belly! Her hair is the biggest talk, then weight!
