We have a super tiny basic dish rack since there is limited counter space. I don't love it but don't hate it either. The nicer ones are usually too big. I recently added a small drying mat for cups, and it's nice to be able to put it away when not in use. At DH's house they use their dishwasher as a huge drying rack.

We use the drying mat and a fold up bamboo one from Target. We don't have a ton of counter space, so once the dishes are dry I can fold it up and put it away.

We use a drying mat so we can put it away...but we rarely do, even if there are no dishes on it. It kind of just blends in on the counter top so I like that.

@Leialou: I do the same thing. I dry things on a towel. Those dish racks aren't meant for pots and pans and that's what we're normally drying.

Ours is a basic white one from BBB and we have a drying mat, but we always have some sort of dishes out so neither gets put away.

we just put down a towel on the counter! all of our dishes wouldnt fit on a rack. guess we need to tackle dishes more often lol
