It's our first summer living in our new home so I'm not entirely sure of it all yet. But so far I've seen hostas & daylilies. We planted a rose bush and my husband got me a mini yellow rosebush we will plant soon as well.

The previous tenants left some tulip bulbs in the ground, and they bloom every year for us! It really makes the backyard beautiful…

We have poppies up the walk way to the door and some rhodie's scattered. I'm about to plant lavender along our fence too.

We have peonies surrounding our gazebo and azaleas and camellias along our walkway. There's also a hydrangea plant behind the deck waiting for a home.

We have azaleas, lilies, dahlias, peonies, roses, gladiolus and my favorite... hydrangeas! I love the flowers we have

We have dozens of roses in the front and backyard. Lots of hydrangeas too. Also: plumeria, princess flowers, hibiscus, peonies, an assortment of bulbs from Costco,, and bougainvillea. There was nothing but rocks and dead grass when we moved in.

We have camellia's in our back yard, and we had some wild roses in our front yard but I have a black thumb and I killed them so I'm not sure if they will be coming back. I need to replant something though since my front is looking sad

@BananaPancakes: how big is your yard? Your yard sounds amazing; I want to see a pic!

Somebody planted climbing roses all over the front yard, with nowhere to "climb", I don't like them! We have a gigantic lavender bush, and I just finished transplanting Jupiters Beard all along our driveway (now we just need barkdust).
In the backyard we have two very old established lilac trees, no other flowers but lots of herbs and veggies.

I can't identify all of them, but this is what I can identify:
-boxwoods
-gardenias
-azaleas
-knockout roses (yellow and pink)
-gerbera daisy
I'm planning on adding some hydrangeas too.

In our front garden I planted flowers that would come back every year, such as hydrangeas and lilies. I love how they just start blooming again every year when the weather starts to get warm.

@regberadaisy: We just have an acre. But most of our flowers are bordering the property and the house. I prefer the unruly, cottage garden look, but my husband likes lawn and "Disney Flowers" as he calls them, so I have to compromise.
