We play some kids stuff (and our favorite local stations for popular adult music) from Youtube and Pandora for short rides but I need to download some music for a longer road trip.
I only have the Frozen soundtrack right now....what are your favorite albums for kids?

I usually just listen to local radio stations - country, pop, classic rock, rock/alternative, oldies, whatever sounds good haha. When my husband drives, he likes to play music from his phone which is usually progressive metal or orchestral music haha. I thought about downloading some kids songs to play - my daughter really likes the songs with funny voices like Muppets or Sesame Street.

@autumnlove: we're on frozen also...mostly for me. when we took a roadtrip, we did some putumayo cd's, peter paul and mary, and the barenaked kids' cd. my friend listens to kidz bop a lot with her kids.

Our absolute favourite is Raffi's Singable Songs for the Very Young. 99% of the time our kids go from screaming like wild banshees to happy, *QUIET!!!* kids! We

We do a lot of Julia Donaldson books on tape because there is lots of singing on them.

We use Spotify and we play the soundtracks to things they've seen... Frozen, Tangled, The Lego Movie, My Little Pony right now!

Pandora and the regular radio. I listen to mostly a rock/alternative station, an indie college station, and a more "top 40" kind of station.

I kind of loathe these CDs, but we received them as a gift and my kids love them as they have a lot of the songs they sing at storytime and school:

Raffi is awesome.
We bought this and M loves it. Though, she requests the "beep beep" song on repeat. Beep Beep song = wheels on the bus.

I have the Classic Disney albums (vol 1-5). They have all the music from Disney movies (and some tv shows) from the start and I think Hercules is the most recent movie. Sometimes I shuffle through those. The Barenaked Ladies kid's cd is fun.

We use spotify and satellite radio. Okee Dokee Brothers are great! LO loves Shirley Temple with a passion! Maybe I'm selfish in this regard but there's a lot of kids music that drives me nuts so it has to be something I like too

LO takes a Music for Aardvarks class, so their CDs are on repeat in our car

My son loved both of the jake pirate CDs we have. He begs for them in the car (and out). And they aren't terribly annoying and a bit catchy. Also like they might be giants.

We're currently on a disney movie soundtrack kick. DD has only seen a couple movies, but she likes soundtracks from stuff she hasn't seen, too. Other favorites have been Raffi, Laurie Berkner Band, the Sandra Boyton book and CD "Frog Trouble" (if you like country music), and songs from the guest artists on Yo Gabba Gabba (but NOT the songs the Gabba characters sing - those are painful).
