What kind of paint works best for handprint/footprint arts and crafts? Ie, shows up well, easy to wash off, won’t irritate skin.

We use acrylics since that’s what the pottery shop uses for these projects. Never had any issues with sensitivity. It washed off of skin easily but not from dishes and clothes, which is the point I guess.

@Iced Tea: I have acrylic on hand but wasn’t sure if it was a good idea. Good to know.
@kiddosc: I have a couple of those crayola paints so I’ll try those too!

@Jennibenni: I agree about acrylic being a great option. If I want a lasting product, I use acrylic and always just try to do these projects with kids in undies, and wash their hand immediately. The issue with washable paints is that they're water soluble (as they're intended to be), so if anyone drips a drop of water on the finished project/grabs it with wet hands/exposes it to steam b/c it's hanging in the kitchen, whatever, there's a good chance the art will bleed.
