So as not to encourage gender stereotyping, I'm going to get in on this shoe discussion. Today, I wore a pair of Loake's dark brown burnished calf Kempton chukka boots. And yes, I did have to look that up.

@lilyann: I really like them for work . . . they are slightly edgy, but not too over-the-top (especially when paired with black tights). Mine are from White House Black Market, but I bought them at the end of last year, so I don't know if they still have them. (They are called "Cannes")
