Both my ering and wedding band are platinum as are DH's band.
I'm really glad we went with platinum especially for his band! I've checked the price of his band routinely and it's more than doubled! Whereas my band has only increased by a teeny bit due to the increase of platinum price. Boo.

@looch: hahaha DH chose platinum for me bc of how destructive I am with jewelery. And then when we were searching for bands, believe it or not the place we got them from was only a few hundred more than white gold.

My rings are platinum and DH's is tungsten. I'm glad he got me platinum as I'm a bit clumsy and bang my rings pretty often. He liked the look of the tungsten which is why he went that route!

They are all platinum. I'm glad we went with that --even though at the time I thought if white gold was cheaper we should do that. I'm pretty rough on my rings and clumsy, so I'm glad they are made of a sturdy metal. DH actually had his ring fall out in a pool and get caught in the filter machinery for a week and when they finally got it out, it was barely scratched! I'm amazed he ever got it back (and was about to order him the cheapest ring I could find if he can't take care of nice things when we found out they found it!)

Mine are platinum, DH's is white gold. I wish we had gotten him platinum as well, as I love the look as it ages. But he doesn't care enough to ever change it!

Both of my bands are white gold. DH's was white gold with something else in it--we have to bring it in because he's been having a reaction to whatever the other metal is...blah.

Mine are white gold while the hubby's is cobalt chrome. Cobalt chrome has characteristics of tungsten, but the color resembles that of platinum/white gold.

My wedding band is white and yellow gold twisted together. Engagement ring is also both.
Dh's ring is tungsten.

I started out with white gold and now have platinum. I didn't upgrade just for the metal change, I wanted a new setting anyway and after wearing the white gold for a couple years I realized platinum was better for the setting I wanted. Lucky for me by the time I upgraded gold was actually more expensive than platinum, so I didn't feel guilty about the cost difference!

my wedding bands are rose gold (I have 2 that I stack-- one is plain and one is an eternity band), and then my e-ring, which I wear on my other hand, is white gold
dh's is rose gold (though I think maybe it's red gold? it's not as pink as mine) and palladium

Mine are platinum. He liked the weight of the platinum over the white gold when he bought my e-ring.. then of course I had to get the matching w-band. His is tungsten.

Mine are white gold. I can't remember if Dh went with titanium or tungsten. I know it can't be resized and he needs a new one since he lost a lot of weight.
