We were supposed to get married in late June (of 2010), but ended up getting married May 1 (2010). The G8 Summit was in town, and we couldn't book any hotels for a 200km radius...which meant our guests couldn't stay. So we went with the date change.

@Mrs. Lantern: Now did you choose that date because it was 10.10.10? We chose it because it was a weekend close to our anniversary (10/7) and the church wasn't available on Saturday. Didn't realize until after that it was the date would be 10.10.10!
(No bearing, but it also turned out to be my great-grandparents' anniversary.)

geeky tidbit: 101010 in binary is 42, which according to hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is the "answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything". LOL
we also chose this date because we dated for 10 years before getting married!
