What music are you into lately? Do you ever get a chance to turn off the Kid Songs and listed to some "grown up" music?

@Mrs.Ham: hahah we actually listen to a lot of "grown up " music at home with her. Just none of the vulgar stuff. She LOVES ACDC and we dance to Nat King Cole with her a lot. She has a particular dance for Thunderstruck; it's really quite adorable.

Hmmm. The only thing I would say I am "into" these days is Justin Timberlake's new album. I listen to it on repeat on spotify.
P is into a lot of catchy pop songs...she sings along to Robin Thicke (I know, I know, but "hey hey hey" is easy for a 16 month old to sing), Selena Gomez, and Sheryl Crow. Oh, and that "I don't care, I love it" song. lol.

I listen to a little bit of everything, I am a huge JT fan and country. I've been listening to a lot of 90s-00s this week bringing back the music from my high school days. SHeDaisy, Dixie Chicks, George Strait, ect.

Country mostly. And classic rock, and 80s early 90s stuff from my youth

I feel like I'm getting old just by music choices alone. I love a mix of old time jazz to create a relaxing atmosphere at home, and I mainly listen to folk music in the car.

Reviving this for the postathon
I listen to two kinds of music depending on what kind of mood I'm in - reggae, OR stuff like The Civil Wars, Amos Lee, Drew Holcomb, Ray LaMontagne, Jason Myles Goss, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver etc. I don't really know what you'd call that genre.

I'm into either Indie Pop (Death Cab, Ingrid Michaelson, Of Monsters and Men, Beck....) or Folksy/Bluegrassy Pop (Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, Avett Brothers...). Those are my own personal genres. I have no idea if they exist for real.

@grizz: OMG we have similar 'OR' tastes! Ray L is performing here this weekend and I'm dying that I don't have tickets! And Bon Iver? All of them are a yea!
I'm also a huge 90's/00's person (matchbox 20, third eye blind, etc) and eagles, Beatles, etc

@littlebug: Mmmm, yes! Love ALL those!
@babyjmama: We are music twins! I am dying to get Ray L tickets when he's here next month. 90's/00's are in heavy rotation at our house too! Do you have Spotify? We can be Spotify friends

Well, The Offspring is in my car right now! I like a really wide variety, from Florence and the Machine to Rage against the Machine. I really like more operatic, dramatic music, like Nightwish, etc. Tool is also an old favorite!
I also listen to Lorde though, so there you are.

@babyjmama: I love it! Its kind of like Pandora, except you can add friends who have similar taste in music, and you can make channels that are strictly one artist, instead of Pandora where you get a mix.

I'm obsessed with Lana Del Rey right now.
In the car, I listen to Top 40 radio though sometimes it can get so repetitive because its more like Top 5 radio.

Lately I've been into more Indie/Alternative stuff and trying to find some suggestions! I like Pheonix, Regina Spektor, A Fine Frenzy, Ian Britt, Tegan and Sara, Skylar Grey...
I do like some of the more popular stuff too - I liked One Republic and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus before they got so popular and enjoy their stuff now - also love Anberlin - probably my favorite music ever.

@grizz: Ahhh just pulled up Bon Iver and I've totally heard him before - love his stuff!

@grizz: @babyjmama: I love all these too! Dancing round the living room to Bon Iver was the only thing that would get my LO to sleep as a newborn! Also of that sorta genre, City and Colour, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and William Fitzsimmons.

@babyjmama:Ray L is here next week, within walking distance from my house...and we decided to skip due to money I'm so sad and secretly hoping I can hear it from our house! It's at a outdoor park right up the road. I love his older stuff, not a fan of his newer CD...never hippy-ish, which is why we decided against tickets.
I'm in to a little bit of everything, lately I've been listening to Folky/INdie Pop: Ray LaMontage, Amos Lee, Aloe Blacc, Paolo Nutini, The Civil Wars, Ed Sheeran,
I'm also obsessed with the girl on Nashville's voice Clare Bowen, especially her duets with Sam Palladio

@babyjmama: haha! So download it to your computer and you gotta make an account. But then you can search for any artist or song, or look up already made playlists.. you can follow certain artists or friends (like me haha!) and see what they're listening to. It also has the radio feature like pandora based on your playlists!
okay so this is for you and @grizz: I found this playlist already made on spotify and love it. Based on your suggestions I think you will too.

I like pop...keeping up with the top charts just for casual listening. My heart belongs to rock though. Punk rock, classic rock indie rock, pop rock...etc. when I want some deeper listening.
