My mom and I were just having a conversation about my name. She said she named me Sarah because it is one of those names that are timeless. I agree to an extent, but I think there was a huge influx of Sarah's in the 80s which makes me associate it to that decade.

Generally biblical names or royal names. If there has been a king or queen names it it is probably timeless.
Anything that rhymes with Aiden I think if as more trendy.
I feel like Sarah is timeless yet I agree I also know a lot of 80s babies named that. Same for Emily- totally timeless but I also associate it with my generation.

@Leialou: Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I love that you said Elizabeth and John- timeless is part of the reason I picked those names for my LOs! I agree with the royalty names being timeless (there are not going to be many kings named Aiden or queens named Madison).

We named LO a timeless name...interestingly enough, my mom thought it sounded "old"!

Elizabeth, William, Catherine... those are the first to come to mind. I think especially with girls, the nicknames are more decade specific (Betsy, Liz, Lizzie, Ellie, etc)

I think most Bible names are timeless like Jacob, Jonah, Isaac, Joanna, Eve, John, Steven, matthew, mark... etc

I consider Sarah to be timeless ... we love that name!!
I also think: Anna, Tessa, Catherine (Kate), Jane for girls, and James, Henry, and lots of catholic names for boys.
