My friends recommended Mad Men, Downton Abbey, and Parenthood, but I started watching Scandal. (Really annoyed with Hulu having so many commercials, I prefer watching things on netflix. Also had to fill the void left by Friday Night Lights which I just finished watching.)
I'm only 2 episodes in, but I hear it's supposed to get crazy in the second season. So far fun enough to keep watching!

We just got hooked up with US Netflix (so much better than the Canadian version!!) I'm hoping to start watching Downtown Abbey

@Mrs. Bee: Scandal is my favorite favorite show right now and season 2 is bonkers! They are making us wait 3 weeks for a new episode and I feel lost.
Two new shows I started watching are The Following and Hannibal. I really love The Following and Hannibal is interesting and even more creepy than The Following.

@nana87: season 1 is so good but season 2 has been a bit of a let down. I'm a few episodes behind and have no motivation to catch up! I flew through the first season because it was so addicting. I hope it gets back to it's roots!

@Boopers: I watched season 1 in less than a week! (to be fair, I just jumped over a huuuuge hurdle in grad school and after working like 17hrs/day for about a month, I needed a mental vacation!) I've watched a few episodes of season 2 and it doesn't seem as good, but I still need to know what happens, lol. I get really impatient and addicted to shows easily

I just started watching The Newsroom and it is so good!! I highly recommend it and they just announced the new season.

I too love scandal:) If you are a fan of Friday Night Lights then I would recommend Nashville staring the lovely Connie Briton the mom from FNL. Its so good! You do not have to like country music to enjoy this show. It is full of drama and great characters. Also if you are looking for something to fill your time I think Netflix has 7 seasons of Greys Anatomy on instawatch. I had never watched greys and spent the entire summer watching all 7 seasons.

I started Revenge on Netflix when I was home sick with the flu, and now I'm obsessed and catching up on the current season on Hulu! I caught up on Mad Men when I was on maternity leave, it's worth it!

We just started watching a show called Granite Flats; it's on BYU TV ( I know, lol). The acting is not great, but it's an interesting story line.
