Charlie skips the number 15... and Olive skips the number 2 haha!
I didn't realize Olive could count, but recently she counted 5 pumpkins in the following way: one, three, four, five, six! I was so excited she could count that high (relative to her past efforts), that I ignored the fact that she skipped the number two. But since then, we've been working on counting and I think maybe she's getting the hang of it!! Time will tell...

My DS has trouble when he hits 13. Today it was 11, 12, 13.. 16.. 16..16??

None at 2 1/2. He just surprised me today by counting all the way to 20 with no mistakes. He can also count backwards from 10 (I think this comes from Team Umi zoomi and oso).

@mrbee: yeah crazy kid can count to twenty and knows all of his shapes but can't say much of anything else. Definitely a science or math kid (not that he had much hope for something else with comp sci parents).

Funny you ask this because my son said he wanted to leave santa 20 cookies so I had him count as I placed them on the plate. He completely skipped 15.

She can count to 100 but has trouble starting off once you get to the thirties, forties, etc. She'll forget that it is called "thirty" but you start her off and then she can go until "forty" stumps her. LOL. And so on.

For the longest time she would count: 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 12.
All of a sudden (at 2 years 4 months) she's gotten the hang of the real 1-10.

My 21-month-old says... "one, one, one..." and happily runs down the hallway with his big brother. So he skips all the numbers after 1!
