I loved the idea of set design. I love art and watching theater. Problem is I don't love being in theater, and you had to take theater classes for that so I didn't do it.

Latin. I wish I had majored in the Classics or in social work. My interests are all over the place!

Forensic science or zoology, but here I am working in admin/finance jobs

I started in journalism and ended up with marketing as a BS, then back again for a doctorate in physical therapy. Sometimes I think I should've stayed with journalism.

I though about accounting briefly. I also toyed with the idea of real estate too but thankfully didn't pursue that since the market crashed about a year later.
Not exactly college level stuff but I'd have loved to have a career in fashion as a buyer. But I'm an SLP since that's what pays the bills.

Nursing! But I worked in a hospital for a year and realized it wasn't for me.

Finance. I loved math in high school.
And chemical engineering. I also loved chemistry, but my mom talked me out of ChemE.

I started in Journalism - hoping to go into advertising but wound up in psychology.

Started in engineering but decided to change majors after shadowing a few engineers. I almost did physics but chose something else entirely.
I wish I had any interest or aptitude for computer science. I got nothing there. Going back knowing what I know now, I probably would have stuck it out in engineering but I wouldn't be as happy.

I thought about physics, but realized I just did not have the brain for all that math. I went for russian, instead, for my second major.

I minored in languages, but I wish I had majored and studied additional ones. Or photography, which I also minored in. Or, and I always say this, in another life (when I understand math), I will be a furniture designer.

Pre-med (until I kept getting lost in the hospital as a volunteer), American Studies (one great class was not enough motivation), Journalism (loved writing), Liberal Studies (too chicken to pursue it the business dream all the way), Counseling (too much work), Library and Information Studies (Masters dropout). I'm happy to say I absolutely love my final career choice now!

I almost majored in Dance, but during orientation I changed to a Theater major (focus on performance) with a minor in Dance.
If I HAD to pick a non-performance based major, I probably would have done geology. If I was math-smart enough, which I definitely am not. I took geology 1 and 2 as electives, and I loved the class but I don't think I got above a C.

I majored in Fine Art. I almost majored in music therapy. Music therapy required music theory classes and that was not happening! I hated my theory classes.

urban studies and planning. might get my masters in a related field.

I chose marketing, but nursing is what I should have done. I also sometimes wish I would have not let money cloud my judgement and done teaching.

Anthropology and communication. I would have kept my psych degree an swapped out the English one for the above.

I really wanted to major in biology (you can't major pre-med at the college I went to) but worked so much I couldn't take the lab classes.@Mrs. Jacks: I took tons of anthropology classes and loved them! I think it would have been tough to get a job out of college though had I majored in anthro.

Photography, but figured there was no money in that(silly me!) and stuck it out with psychology...which I don't do anything in that field

I minored in Economics and wish I had majored in it. Instead, I stuck it out with Accounting...blah.

I'm a dork, the only thing I wanted to major in was Accounting. And I did.

@matador84: I would have still gone to medical school, so my major didnt really matter, except for fun!

@fussygal: I did the opposite! Started out as a psychology major, then switched to English and ended up in journalism. Sometimes I wonder what I'd be doing if I had stayed with psychology.

I stuck with journalism as my primary major but waffled a lot on my second major: it was going to be English, then Spanish, then Linguistics. I finally settled on International Studies with a concentration in Latin America, which ended up being very helpful for my career. But sometimes I wish I had stuck with Linguistics because it was so interesting.

I took theatre and I don't regret it one bit! I ended up being a graphic designer though, so maybe I should have taken something to do with that.

I wanted to be a pediatrician, but my parents didn't support it (Asian parents not wanting their child to be a Dr., imagine that!)

I was a political science/journalism major. I thought about psychology, communications....also art history with a focus in architecture. I took a class like that when I was abroad and loved it.

Education. I wanted to be a gym teacher. I applied to get in and never got accepted. Otherwise i'm sure i wouldn've have gone that route. Instead I majored in Kinesiology, which everyone thinks i'm a gym teacher anyways.

I got the degree in the field I always wanted since I was really really young...for a brief period I thought about switching my marine science major to sedimentology and keeping my second major, biology as it was, but ended up staying with marine science and biology.
For grad school I considered GIS and a duel masters program in marine policy and law (in the field where my one professor still believes I belong), but due to health issues grad school was put on hold and I ended up meeting DH after returning home. I'm now taking a step backwards and going for nursing.
