@locavore_mama: I only got the Android initially because Verizon had yet to carry iPhones. They started carrying iPhones 2 months after I signed a contract. FAIL on my part!

@jhd: Ha I feel like I'm always a few years behind the technology curve! I didn't get a cell phone at all until I was 18 (my friends had them a few years earlier).

@jhd: Yep, I got it when I went to college. I might not have then, but stepsister was very pregnant and I was going to be in the delivery room with her so she needed to be able to get into contact with me! And yeah, we were too cheap to get smart phones for a long time too

Just got the galaxy S3 this week after having a really basic call and text phone. I used a iPhone briefly and wasn't a fan. Android all the way. Expandable memory FTW!

I had one of the first Androids and hated it. DH did too and I really hated his phone. They're way more buggy than iphones are and they aren't supported very long. So a year into owning your android you're pretty much screwed - you can't upgrade your operating system so apps get buggier, and you can't get a new phone for another year. No thanks.
