The movie thread earlier got me thinking. What popular movie did you not like?
I really do not like the movie Anchorman. I've never met anyone that doesn't love it and everyone is super shocked when I say I don't like it. All the buzz about the sequel coming out makes me roll my eyes every time.

I don't like the LOTR series... they were fine to watch once I guess but I wouldn't watch them again. My MIL is OBSESSED with them and watches them at least once a month!!
I also have issues with some movies that have questionable morals... like I hated the movie "It's Complicated" because of the morals in the show.. I couldn't get past it, it was sick to me!
I didn't care for "The Vow" - it didn't live up to the hype.
Also, gasp, I found Breakfast at Tiffany's to be quite boring.

How strange; I'm the same way with Anchorman! I just didn't find it very funny.
I also don't see the hype with Love Actually. I found it obnoxious.

@deerylou: I don't like Love Actually, either...it stemmed even more of those type of movies, and they're all pretty bad.

@photojane: How interesting! What are some of your favorite films?
It's rare that I'm actually excited about seeing a big blockbuster, whether it's an action, sci-fi, or romantic comedy. I'm usually the dork in the corner, getting pumped up for foreign films and documentaries at the little, indie theater downtown. I do like dramas, though.
Because of this, I see a lot of movies alone. Or with my ma.

Knocked Up and This Is 40 - both we're way too long and drawn out. There were some funny bits but not worth watching as a whole for me.

@deerylou: my all time favorite is Wizard of Oz, but I love stupid comedies like Step Brothers, Anchorman, Bridesmaids, and I Love You Man. I like dorky guy movies like LOTR and the Batman trilogy too.

I don't like a lot of Will Ferrell movies. Elf grew on me, though.
Wedding Crashers- Eh...
Did not like Superbad movie either.

@deerylou: i'm really not picky about movies in general but my all time favorites are shawshank redemption and primal fear. my ultimate guilty pleasure is dirty dancing!

Avatar. Hated it! Also watched Zero Dark Thirty the other night and was surprised I didn't like it.. I guess I was expecting more action?
