I love Reagan but I'm not sure DH would agree.
What other presidential names? I also like Lincoln for a boy but it doesn't go with our last name.

Girls:
I love Eleanor, but DH vetoed this.
Boys:
William is DS' name.
Theodore is our runner up - but reminds me too much of the chipmunk
I also like: Carter, Quincy, Grant, Lincoln.

I love Truman and Harrison! And Lincoln and William, and Theodore was on our short list!
DD's middle name is Eleanor for Eleanor Roosevelt!

We used one already but just cause we liked it not after the president. One name we are considering if the next baby is a girl is presidential but she would be named after a family member.

The names we used for each of our two boys are the top two most frequent first names of presidents - John & James. But we just liked the names.

We already have a John (Jack) but some of my other favorite boy names are on this list -- Henry, William, George, Theodore (Teddy). My favorite girl name is Caroline, also on the list.

LO would have been Calvin if she were a boy. And one of her NNs is Ladybird.

I used to like the name Reagan, but the connection to Ronald Reagan never even crossed my mind. Same with the name Harrison and Hayes. I did try to convince DH we should use the name Jackson, but in reference to Stonewall Jackson, not Andrew Jackson.
I once met a family where all of the kids were named after presidents - I think it was Reagan, Kennedy, Madison, and maybe Carter.

@Smurfette: Im so sad DH is saying he wants to veto it! Its still a top runner for me and I hope I can get him to come around.

So....presidential names=stuffy old white man names, to me, HAHA.
Gerald
Bernard
George
William
Theodore
Ulysses

We're using a president name for our DS due in a month! That's not why we chose it, but it happens to be one
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
Reagan and Pierce!
A decade ago my list would have included Kennedy, Madison, and Jackson.
persimmon / 1339 posts
Not presidential but if I have another son I would definitely name his Justin after PM Trudeau! Also love Malcolm, after the Australian PM, but I don't love his politics so if I did go with that name I'd keep it a secret
persimmon / 1436 posts
@T.H.O.U.: I didn't even think of this but my girls both have names from that list (Mrs. Roosevelt and a young Kennedy)
pineapple / 12526 posts
Our top boy and girl names are both "presidential". Lol. DDs name is on the list that was posted too.
I'd use:
Franklin
Truman
Theodore
Lincoln
Harrison
Virginia
Caroline
Claudia
Lucy

We used a presidential last name as a first name for our first ds (not in honor of the president; just because we liked the name).
pineapple / 12234 posts
Theodore
Kennedy (but it's too close to DH's name)
Calvin
Benjamin (used it for my first)
Elizabeth (used for my second)
Caroline (used for my third)
