I struggle to get the girls to eat much protein, so I'm curious what other LO's eat and how much. Any tricks to getting a little more into their diet?

My son eats just about any meat (but not usually chicken), fish, eggs, cheese, beans, etc.
My daughter is mostly vegetarian (her choice). She will eat some deli-style ham and fish on occasion. She eats eggs, cheese and beans when she feels like it.

For dinner is Salmon.
Other than that they get a lot of dairy protein (greek yogurt, cheese, etc)

@lamariniere: Yes, eggs are pretty big for us too. Especially with some link sausages for breakfast. We often do breakfast for dinner because they eat it so well.

We struggle with protein too. She doesn't like chicken or fish, but she loves eggs. I also give her protein pasta which she really likes.

She'll consistently eat cheese, eggs, beans, and bad-for-you meats like sausage and bacon. She'll eat other meats too but not consistently.

Cheese, greek yogurt, chicken, kalbi, and bulgogi (the last two are korean marinated meats)

LO is a little carnivore. Last night she ate her portion of flank steak plus mine. She likes chicken wings, bacon, and steak. She also loves yogurt and cheese. She hates beans and is meh about eggs.

DD will eat any meat you put in front of her. She loves it all. DS likes ground beef, bacon, and sausages (think smoked sausage, hot dogs, polish sausage, etc). Both eat eggs very well and hummus but neither will touch whole beans. Both like melted cheese but rarely eat it cold and both like deli meats.

DS - beans and greek yogurt
DD - chicken, eggs, cheese and greek yogurt

He likes regular bacon, turkey bacon, chicken nuggets or tenders (especially CFA), hot dogs, and bologna. He won't eat ground beef at home but loves it at our local Mexican restaurant. We don't go there very often though. I have tried over and over with eggs, breakfast sausage, etc and he just won't eat it. He also eats cheese and yogurt so he gets some protein there. Occasionally some PB on a toaster waffle.

He likes most meat but especially sausages and nuggets, always loves cheese and yogurt
Oh yeah and peanut butter!

Fish & Shrimp for DD1. For DD2 protein is a hit or miss. One night she will devour fish and the next she will spit it out in disgust.
Chicken is usually the hardest to get them to eat. DD1 will chomp on a drumstick. Or we make baked chicken tenders. DH smoked a whole chicken on Sunday, both girls devoured that. We used the leftovers last night on homemade pizzas. Winner.

Eggs - hands down! Followed by shrimp and other meats. How the meat is cooked also affects how much of it he'll eat.

Black and pinto beans, eggs, fake chicken nuggets.
Also from dairy- yogurt and cheese mainly.

Both kids will eat chicken (almost cooked in any way) and enjoy pork products too (bacon, pork belly, sausage, pork chops, etc).

We are vegan and he eats all types of beans, lentils with relish. He also loves nut cheeses. He loves tofu too but we try to limit our soy consumption so we rarely have it.

Eggs for sure. DD is not really into meat so usually we have to disguise it among other food. But eggs are always a hit. She also loves hummus which is a good source of protein.

DD loves meat. We do lots of baked chicken breast, chicken sausage, and fish. I like doing chicken sausage because it exposes her to other flavor combinations--she usually likes stuff pretty plain!

When she was under 3 - chicken
After 3 - shrimp, breakfast sausage (specifically Johnsonville breakfast sausage links), salami, steak (cut into tiny pieces), crab, chicken nuggets and hot dogs

DS only likes ground and seasoned meat. Right now he's obsessed with chicken nuggets and hot dogs. But he likes beans too and cheese and yogurt.

Eggs, yogurt, hummus and burgers/meatballs (beef or turkey). She also likes peanut butter and chicken (sometimes).

I let 3yo choose which color beans to have for a finger food snack. She also really loves "tofu cheese," which is what she calls plain tofu cubes. Lentils are also a staple.

They are great with protein....it's veggies that we have a real problem with!

My son's only 9 months but he loves any and all meat. Seriously. Steak, pork chops, ground beef, bacon, duck, goat, salmon, shrimp, clams, chicken, lamb. He loves it all. He's also really good with cheeses and yogurt. Thus far we have not had very good success with eggs and beans, but we're working on it.

I wouldn't say either of mine have particular problem with protein, but they will always, always, always eat PEANUT BUTTER. Between the 4 of us, we go through an absurd amount, actually.
Other than that, they love cheese, yogurt, chicken apple sausages, and beans. DD2 loves eggs, too. Generally at dinner, they will both eat some of whatever meat/protein we serve, but it can be hit or miss (as most dinner foods usually are in these parts!)
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
Both love peanut butter, eggs (we often do omelettes for lunch), beef, shredded dark chicken, fish and beans. It's veggies we have problems with.

eggs, meatballs, chicken nuggets, edamame, hummus, PB, Milk, yogurt, cheese

@avivoca: hahaha so true!
My LO's like beef (grilled marinated skirt steak) more than anything other protein we feed them. And hummus, not on anything, just hummus. Greek yogurt used to be a huge win, but I think I burned them out on that for the time being.
