i have a huge black juicy one i have been using daily for a long time, i love that it can be a crossbody or on my shoulder. i have a couple cole haan leather bags that i've loved and have held up really well and a nylon (black, i'm not into logos on bags) coach hobo with a leather strap that i used for a long time and still looks new. basically, i buy nice bags and wear them for a long time. i have cheaper bags that i use when i want more of an accessory for an outfit, but i don't mind spending some $$ on a bag i'll use almost every day. i think almost all of my bags have a leather strap which helps them hold up better, but i don't know that's always true, but for me it seems to make sense.

@blackbird: I have a VERY similar looking kate spade bag (same color, print, and shape but the hardwire is different on the straps) that i also got at their cyber sale!

@Mrs. Pen: I definitely recommend checking out the kate spade sale the next time they have it. How much are you willing to spend on a purse?

I looveee my Kate Spade... it's pretty neutral so I can use it every day in every season and it has held up extremely well for the abuse it gets. I got it at the outlet for a great price and keep checking their sale section to buy a different style.

@Mrs. Pen: I had a tan-ish aldo bag forever! What's your price range for a new purse? I found a pretty Michael Kors bag at Marshall's for $70 I think.

I've been using my Timi and Leslie diaper bag as my purse right now but I'm hoping after we pass the baby stage, I can splurge on a Louis Vuitton!

I have the Pippa large grab by Modalu in Shark (grey leather). I had this bag before it became the Pippa (it used to be the Bristol!). I also have it in 2 other colors.

ETA: quality bags and shoes elevate every outfit. if you're going to invest/splurge, you'll get tons more mileage out of a bag than almost any item of clothing.

I have a bunch of purses, I like to switch it up every few weeks. Right now I'm carrying this one from Susan Nichole which is a vegan leather, animal friendly company.

I love bags, Dh spoils me with them too, he usually throws all of the special occasions together and get me 1 big gift a year. Most of my bags are Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Burberry.

Ummm, I kind of have a purse problem, haha. Here are my shelves o'purses. There's Dooney & Bourke, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Minkoff... And I think that's all. I'd recommend any of those brands, but I will say that QVC sells Dooney & Bourke so you can often get good deals. They hold up really well and they have nice, roomy ones that are stylish but still hold a lot! The yellow, tan, and pink ones are all Dooney.

@MsLipGloss: that's awesome, I love her bags! They're a bit pricey but so cute. I bought mine at sample sales so they were discounted but I also had to pay the price of trying to find a new purse in a warehouse with five million other women, lol!

I haven't been using a purse, I've just been sticking stuff in the diaper bag.

I currently carry a gross, cheap one from Payless. I was at the
coach outlet yesterday and was reminded of why I love real leather so much more, yet I was still cheap to pull the trigger.

maybe try the fossil outlet if you have one nearby! i like the earthy styles and and the outlet can have good prices! that's where i got my purse i've been using for the last few years for about 50$

@Boogs: It retails for $368 I think, but I had a 25% off coupon for Bloomingdales and a $60 gift card so I only paid about $220.

I have a really nice medium brown Cole Haan bag that I got for my birthday a few years ago-- from the outlet but still pricier than any other bags I own. It's held up really well, but it is SO heavy, and I have a bad back, that I've stopped using it, which makes me so sad. I actually just got a cheapy nylon and faux leather one from Old Navy, since I know I'll be switching over to a diaper bag soon and would rather get a decent one of those then.
If only they weren't so heavy, I LOVE Cole Haan bags and they have good deals at the outlets. The Coach outlet near me is like yours-- people go insane when there is a sale. There is no savings they could possibly have that would be worth braving that

I do second (fourth?) the Kate Spade sample sale online. That's where I got my wallet, which i love, and they have really good deals.

I have a Lilly bloom. I love that it's made of recycled materials and has cute prints..... But sadly I can't recommend it because it's my second one and both have broken quickly.
