I found a unicorn salt shaker at Target today. It made me so excited... And I don't even like unicorns.

Anything with birds on it. They always make me smile. DH says my motto should be "put a bird on it".

@Arden: birds make everything better, I couldn't agree more!
Fireworks, I friggin LOVE fireworks! If you can blow it up & it sparkles, I love it! Also, kitty snuggles, the way mr bird says goodnight to me, revolving doors, sock monkeys, the smell of cut grass, eating things straight from the garden, and the smell of clothes being dried- all bring me pure joy. Love the little things

The way lo looks completely and utterly surprised to see me when I climb in the backseat with her. When a person pulling into the spot next to us gives us extra room to get baby. When no one else needs the elevator!
(These all just happened tonight)

@ Arden -ever watch Portlandia? They did a skit titled "put a bird on it". Check out this video.
Cupcakes make me so happy. And candy cane Oreos. And mint cookies and cream ice cream.

@babyjmama: Yes! Love glitter! I teach pre-k and I'm always finding glitter in random places. I bought glittery gift bags over the holidays and of course, they shed everywhere. DH asked me why our son's car seat was glittery....oops!
I love miniature things! I'm really short and I just think tiny versions of things are adorable. Teeny tiny condiment bottles? Too cute.

A pile of warm laundry to roll in, finding previously lost chap stick, and discovering new flavors of Ben and Jerry's ice cream

@babyjmama: Yes, me too!
I get ridiculously excited if someone I meet happens to also love Disney things (especially Disney World) or Taylor Swift. Once at work I was demoing a sound system for a customer and they asked me to put in our Taylor Swift bluray. Another time a customer walked in with the Disney World exclusive purse I own and am obsessed with, and then told me she was part of their vacation club. Both things made my day...as soon as either topic came up my co-workers were like, "Oh god, you there goes any chance Wonderstruck had of being productive for the next 20 minutes or so." Haha.
Oh, and slurpees. I will bug DH for one at a gas station like an excited kid.
I'm realizing as I type this out that I kind of sound like a 12 year old girl...glitter, Taylor Swift, Disney, and slurpees...hmmm. I think I'm okay with that.

@yerpie110: oooo, yes! money in the pocket surprises are great!
@mrs. wagon:
@Mamadee: have you ever done the tour where you get to taste test new flavors?? so much fun!
@lilteacherbee: when i was little, i used to be obsessed with those mini versions of tents they have on display in sporting goods stores. i wanted one for my barbies so badly! mini things are adorable!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@lilteacherbee: ooh I love miniature things too! I can't wait til LMW is old enough (past choking hazard stage!) So I can get her a real dollhouse with all the little things for inside! And of course I'm most excited about the miniature plates and cups and food.
bananas / 9628 posts
@mrs. wagon: mini food is amazing! i had the american girl samantha birthday set with the table and chairs and settings and all the mini treats and pitchers of lemonade. the little desserts were the cutest things ever!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@mrs. bird: OH. MY GLOB. you totally read my mind. I have Samantha and she is sitting on LMW's bookshelf! I saved up enough for half and my mom paid the rest! She is retired now so I'll have to hunt down the lemonade set on eBay!! Every time I think of mini food I think about those little cakes!!! Get out of my head, woman!!

Haha food comes to mind. Delicious food, crunchy food, sweet food, savory food, spicy food, sushi. Just gimme. Also when DH gives me "one million kisses" which originated from when we first started dating freshmen year of college and he would cover me with soooo many kisses. He also sings me a song with my nickname (Panda Bear, hence the username) and it makes me smile no matter how grumpy I am. It is so silly and simple, but it is my kryptonite!

@mrs. bird: I *puffyheart* fireworks. They make me so happy!
@lilteacherbee: I adore miniature things. They are so, so cute.
Blankets and sheets folded perfectly symmetrically. It makes my skin crawl when a blanket is folded unevenly. Finding extra quarters in a pile of change. Whole sets of things, where nothing is broken or missing. The smell of hazelnut coffee. Also, getting wax out of the dog's ears when I clean them. I don't know why, but it feels like an accomplishment to get the gunk out, and highly disappointing when there's nothing to get out.

The scent of lumber (think of the scent you smell when you walk into Home Depot or Lowe's. Mmmmm). I know, I'm weird!

@wonderstruck: I LOVE Disney! All things Disney make me happy...I'd go to Disney World all the time if I could, though unfortunately our finances don't allow it right now so I'm already planning our first trip with LO in 4 years
Other than all things Disney, I love...mail that's not bills, especially letters; unexpected generosity; campfires; the first snow; baby smiles; the smell of clean baby skin; puppy kisses; the smell of wood, especially cedar; hymns on Sunday morning, quiet mornings sipping tea, long conversations with new and old friends, the feeling I get after completing a task or being really productive, the feeling of being barefoot in summer; all the holidays and seeing people go all out for them...so many things! I definitely think it's the little things that make life great!

@mrs. bird: I revolving doors too!! LOL I always try and go as fast as I can through them, just like a little kid!
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@ILoveLettie: I can't WAIT to go on our first Disney trip - I had an emergency c-section with our son and was terrified and begging DH to distract me so I could stop thinking about the fact that they were about to cut me open. So naturally he started talking about Disney and asked me what our first trip with our son would be like. We started talking about hotels - I was listing possibilities and was talking about the Wilderness Lodge when the conversation came to a sudden stop because we heard my son start crying as they pulled him out! So our first trip will be at the Wilderness Lodge, haha.

Fresh squeezed juices, sugary coffee, when (i realize) dh did the laundry, when dh cooks (he is an amazing cook!), a really sunny day, anytime sushi is involved...
grape / 78 posts
@mrs.bird I would love to do that!!!! I am an ice cream addict. When dh and I were first dating, I downed a pint of Ben and Jerry's in one sitting (not my first time). He was shocked. He still doesn't understand my obsession lol.
current gave is an oldie...half baked...yum

@Wonderstruck: yep, all things Disney... I listen to music from the parks and that makes me sooo happy while at work. We live 3 hours away and we're going next weekend!!
Also cats. Love cats. If a kitteh will sit on my lap and snuggle... the best.
Food-related... anything like gummy, fruity food. Fruit snacks, gummy bears, Skittles, etc. I have NO ability to resist!

Fireworks and homemade cappuccino! And when When Harry Met Sally is randomly on TV and I happen to catch it!
Also love all things Disney. When I am there, I generally cry tears of happiness at least once a day.

Other things that make me happy: the Olympics, when DH puts his arms around me, his goodbye kisses when I'm sleeping in the morning, fresh baked goods in the oven, anything Disneyland, and brunch!

@mrs. wagon: you're so awesome to save that for her! I had an insane amount if American girl stuff, addy & Samantha ( ) and most if their furniture, clothes & tons that my mom & I had made. They were in boxes in my storage closet when we moved & the movers missed those boxes, by the time I realized & went back, it was all gone
I was so sad because I was saving all of it for when I had daughters. I LOVED playing with my mom's barbies from when she was little, I was hoping my someday daughter would love playing with my dolls. LMW is such a lucky girl!
@LovelyPlum: I love a perfectly folded fitted sheet! So satisfying!
@ILoveLettie: the smell of wood is awesome, sawdust is an oddly sexy scent to me, lol. & yes to barefoot in the summer! I'm barefoot all the time.
@Mamadee: half baked is awesome! Even the froyo version tastes like such a treat! We had 'milk & cookies' last time I did the tour (yes, I've been more than once, it's silly, but fun!) & that is my fav flavor now. So good!
@MrsADS: last night I nearly peed myself because my kitty was asleep on me & I couldn't stand to wake him. I eventually did, but it was a close call kitty snuggles rock! You made me think of another one: gummy candy shaped like mini versions of other foods! Like those little gummy hamburgers, they're so fun!
@Dandelion: yes!!!! I love weird kitchen gizmos! I have a turkey baster that the bulb is a turkey, a sock monkey dish scrubber, a monkey vegetable peeler & a cheese cutting board that looks like a mousetrap. All endlessly entertaining for me
@Crystal: I don't know if this would be your thing or not, but you can be made into a firework when you die. I totally wanna be a firework someday!

A good hockey fight. Irish cream anything. My boy's giggle or belly laugh. Any laugh. Laughing until I cry. The smell of horses. Having the sun roof open in nice weather. A good shopping sale victory. Building/fixing/refinishing something for the house. Newborn clothes. A purring cat. Finding a Disney movie on TV. Cheese.

@mrs. wagon: @mrs. bird: I was always obessed with Samantha growing up, but we could never afford her. I started collecting my favorite Disney animator's dolls- I'm totally smitten! My husband got me Rapunzel and Jasmine for Christmas... and rolled his eyes at me. Mom of two boys gotta do what she gotta do.
@mrs. bird: @MrsADS: One of my kittehs likes to spoon at night, lol. I'm not ashamed

@stine_ciro: oh my goodness, I had never seen this (or Portlandia) before XD
@Mrs.Panda: that's so cute!
@Alivoo01: have you ever been in an Ikea? They have a similar smell to me.
@wonderstruck: what a sweet story! Several coworkers are planning Disney trips, and I keep on telling them to take me with them, I'll hide in their suitcase, I'll watch their kids...
If everything goes as planned we'll go to Disney for the first time with E (she's 5 months now) in July 2015. She'll be just under 2. I want to do a full on Disney trip (resorts and everything) when she's a bit older and can do more things, since it's a hike for us to get there.
@lemondrop: Love the animator's dolls! I just got Elsa and Anna from Frozen. Did you see they just released Tink? I'm going to use my coupon from preordering frozen to get her.
as for me:
Fresh tomatoes from the garden, new grass, the first crocus of spring, snow, lemonheads, cherry coke, anything with a fox on it (before What Does the Fox Say!), puffy clouds, DISNEY, fresh squeezed orange juice.
My daughter laughing and blowing raspberries at me, like she's doing right now! lol Gotta run...

I love this thread!
That first sip of coffee in the morning, when my son is babbling in his crib (La, laaaaa, LA!), when it snows and I have nowhere to be, DH snuggles, when DH makes E laugh, and I dislike tomatoes, but I looooove the smell of tomato plants when we grow them. I have a million more!
