Summer hasn't been too good for us for house hunting so we just signed a 6 month lease. 
I hope we find something this fall/winter!

We closed in late October.
I think the nice part of buying during non summer months is as a buyer you probably have a leg up in negotiating because most people like to shop in the summer. -
Summer. We started looking in June and found our house at the end of July.

We closed on our house at the end of July, after about two months of negotiations and several months of looking. When it was all said and done the house hunting/buying process took an entire season for us!

Spring. We really lucked out, because the inventory is crap here. I started talking to our realtor in December and she swore up and down we'd see more houses on the market in January and February. Then she was swearing up and down we'd see more coming on the market in the summertime. We ended up randomly finding the perfect house for us just outside our price range and talking them down to our topmost budget point with closing costs paid. We'd probably still be looking if that hadn't happened. Some of the houses we looked at in our price range were straight up frightening.

I chose spring because although we closed in mid-June, we started house hunting in January and found our house in early May.

We didn't set out to buy the house in any specific season. We ended up closing in mid-May which was nice because the weather was nice and we didn't have to move in the rain (we live in WA so it pretty much rains non-stop here from September - May!).

We closed Memorial Day weekend, but put in our offer in March, they just needed a lot of time to find a house!

We closed in late Nov. I loved it because we were in the house just in time for Christmas : ) But we live in TN where the weather in mild. I don't think I would have wanted to close in Nov if we were still in MA because it would have been coooold while we were packing up and moving.

We close September 7th, so that's technically Fall I think but it's still hot as sh*t here, so I voted Summer. We found it in the Summer, it's just taking forever haha

We bought in the spring.

Even though we closed on Dec 27th, I said 'fall' since if it were any other city in the US we would have closed in the fall instead of it stretching out for 3 months. We tracked our current apartment starting in mid-summer and waited until the second price drop in early October to make an offer and was accepted.

We closed late Winter, but we searched for good 6 months prior to find our house. our Escrow was only 30 days so pretty fast compared with the average.

We started looking at the end of March, closed first week of June.

We found the house at the end of August but closed in October. We searched for nearly two years and the other houses that we made offers on, we found during the spring.

We did a huge amount of research in the fall, and then put an offer in on the 3rd house we saw
Closed on January 20th! I was a bit worried that when spring came around (busy season for home buying in this town) I would see so many houses that I would have liked better... but I sure didn't! Very glad we bought when we did!

We closed late July! We’d been looking since April and we found our house in June. I don’t recommend moving in the middle of the summer!

we closed on our house in august, moved in sept.

We purchased in May, passed at the notary in August and moved in Sept.

I wish you allowed us to pick more than one option since I've bought two houses. One in April and one in August.

We bought ours in December.
Closed on January 20th! I was a bit worried that when spring came around (busy season for home buying in this town) I would see so many houses that I would have liked better... but I sure didn't! Very glad we bought when we did!
