I'm off work this week, but I don't really have any plans. My DH is working and most friends here are away visiting their families.
I've been trying to be productive, but being pregnant and alone in a new city can be lonely Any suggestions for fun things I can do? What would you do?

Things I do to fill my time since I'm not working (and my husband is deployed)...
1) Knitting
2) Cleaning - lots of cleaning (yay for nesting instincts, lol)
3) Planning the nursery, prepping for projects for the nursery
4) Go for long walks with my dogs
5) Read a book
6) General relaxation

apply for pinterest if you don't already have it... look up DIY and Crafts and get crafty! Its been my obsession lately.

Lonnnnnnng baths, reading a good book, snuggling up by the fire (if you're somewhere cold like me). If THAT gets boring I like finding new recipes to try out, trying DIY crafts and sometimes even meandering through stores like Pier 1, Michaels, Target, etc.

@ Artbee, I know I should, right?! I cleaned my entire apt like a nut and felt like crap afterwards. Today, I'm literally just surfing the web i.e. on HB!

@Clementine: I will say what I think you should avoid doing (but I may be biased) - avoid times square and all other tourist areas in nyc. I work in Times Square and it is hectic. I'm always so concerned when coming to work or heading home that someone is going to hit my bump. So my advice would be to avoid the tourist traps to protect your bump!!

@Eupenmalmody! I agree, I will steer clear of TS and other tourist traps because if there's one thing I've learned in NYC is that people have no idea how to walk.

I always like to clean. Call me crazy, but if I have a day off without my husband I'll use the time to clean and organize. Just makes me feel better - plus I turn on silly daytime tv and it keeps my mind occupied

i'm working on a knitting project right now. playing some games. catching up on my quickbooks (i keep financial record for us), watch some dvr, go on hellobee haha.
