I am currently hooked on The Walking Dead and Parenthood. They are a few seasons in already so I am just getting caught up now, I wish I would have started watching them when they first started though!

The Wire, The Shield and Friday Night Lights.

Downton Abbey...I've only seen the 1st season since others aren't available on netfix. At this rate I'll never be caught up!
ETA: I like to watch shows in their entirety after they go off the air. I am currently working through Friday Night Lights, and next up is The West Wing.

I love watching shows after they are done airing...no waiting for new seasons for huge gaps of time!
We've made our way through almost all of the shows on HBO (Sopranos, 6 Feet Under, Carnivale, etc. etc.)
We're watching Parenthood right now, and taking our time because we don't want to get caught up to live LOL

The Wire (didn't watch it til it was off the air!), The Office, and Homeland (zipped through season 1 right before season 2 started).

@mediagirl: A prime example of a great one to watch after it has already ended. I watched that one live and it was torture lol

Survivor. How did I miss this?! Just started watching a few years ago.

@highwire: it's true. We were able to watch like 6 episodes a day on a weekend (before baby).

How I Met Your Mother, Sherlock, and Mad Men. Love Netflix for helping me discover these shows.

Lost, Scandal, Always Sunny in Philadelphia,
There are probably others but I can think of them.

We didn't get hooked on The Walking Dead until the second season was over. We didn't start watching The Office until after the wedding!

I didn't start watching desperate housewives until the 7th season..I had to stop myself, catch up on Netflix and go back...waiting every week for a new episode was what I imagine torture to be (:

@MsLipGloss: Oh, yeah, Dexter was one. It was so hard going from DVDs with no breaks between episodes to waiting a whole week.
Oh, another one is Nurse Jackie.

@katiew92081: Has Once upon a time been better this season? I watch all of season 1 but season two has been hard to watch. I think I watched two episodes of season two. I keep seeing it pop up on my Hulu queue.

Scandal, revenge, prison break. I also love watching them when they are done airing. Its fun watching on Netflix with no commercials and no waiting

@bluestripedbee: I'm pretty hooked on it. I didn't see season 1 so I don't have anything to compare it to...but there was this Episode on Hulu that pretty much summed up the first season, so I haven't bothered to watch it. But, I'm enjoying it.

Gossip Girl, didn't get into it until a few months before it ended. The Wire, didn't start watching it until it was off the air. Breaking Bad, didn't start watching it until it was in its third season. Dexter, didn't start watching until it was in season three.

CSI: Miami. There are 10 seasons and it's off the air now, but it's so good! I may or may not have watched 6-8 episodes on some days when I'm home with LO.

Mad Men, Doctor Who, Supernatural, and BSG (Battlestar Galactica). HOW I missed out on the Doctor Who nerd subculture for so long is beyond me!

@zippylef: same! Firefly.
Also lost. I actually prefer it in some ways because we can marathon through! We watched season one of homeland and it stinks bc I'm anxious for season two to come out.

@Mrs. Bee: Me too with SATC! I never had HBO so I didn't see any episodes until after it was off the air completely. In fact, the first few episodes I ever saw were on (I think) the CW and once I saw it uncut I couldn't believe how much they had to cut out for network TV!
I also got into Dexter late, and then I watched four seasons in like, a month. I think DH thought I was studying to be a serial killer, haha.

@bluestriped bee: I really liked the Beauty and the Beast episode, but I'm partial to that story anyways.
