I have a high tolerance for shows that are usually described as annoying: I actually enjoy Thomas the Tank Engine and don't mind Caillou. But I really don't like the Cat in the Hat show, even though the kids seem to love it.
What shows does your LO like that you can't stand?

I try not to have her watch anything I don't like but I'm not a fan of Daniel tiger which my mom will watch with her.

Sorry Mr. Bee, Thomas (not interesting) and Calilou (whiny) are my least favorite and I will bother LO to change the show. I don't care for Cat in the Hat too much (his vOice) but I will tolerate since it is somewhat educational.

Pokemon. After D watches it, he acts like the characters, and it's really annoying.

Gah i dont like any of these. How long can i get away with lo not knowing they exist??
Lo is 18 months now and we have been watching Tayo (has anyone else ever seen this? Its kinda cute), which he loves and i can tolerate but is a little odd. And sometimes i think the translation to english is a little off haha. The only other thing he watches are baby einstein(the only thing he will sit still for) and mother goose club music videos on youtube, which he loves to dance to.

Peppa the Pig. The snorting...oh god, the snorting kills me. And Peppa isn't very nice.
Oh, and this isn't a full blown show, but that stupid Nina Needs to Go thing. What is up with stalker grandma?

@Mrs. Lion: T loves Tayo!! Yes the dubbing is odd at times. Lol but I think it's cute overall.
T is still young enough that I control everything he watched without opposing yet.

@meredithNYC: I hate the theme song but I usually walk out of the room during the show.
@mrbee: I take it back about Thomas. LO just mentioned to me this morning. "I know why the ipad dies. It needs a battery to charge up. I know because it happened on Thomas. One of the trains uses battery and not rocks (coal). That is how it charges up." So any cartoon that teaches my kid science is all right by me.

I used to like Thomas but we phased out watching it after realizing that he or Percy is always doing something naughty and/or not listening, and then getting into trouble. I've learned to appreciate shows where the characters are learning something (like Daniel Tiger), or teaching something to the viewer (like Super Why). Plus as Charlie got older, he just wasn't into the show.
But what bugged me the most is the way the steamies treat the diesels! Thomas has said some pretty messed up things about certain trains, just because they use a diesel engine. Once I realized that, it took a lot of the fun out of watching the show for me.

@SleepyMonkey: Dora is so shrill and nasal! Ugh and her singing is horrible. He loves it so much though. He also like Kai Lan and she is so much less annoying that I'm encouraging that.
Luckily he can usually live without them but Caillou and Daniel Tiger are so annoying. For my husband it's Baby Signing time or signing time he can't stand. He hates Rachel's annoying singing voice. I think she's cheesy but tolerable and both Tor and I learned so much from her it's very worth it.

Thomas the Tank and Yo Gabba Gabba. Both so annoying.
I also get pretty annoyed w/ Daniel Tiger b/c DD watches him *all* the time. His songs get really repetitive... but I appreciate all of the good messages, so I still encourage DD to watch that one.

@meredithNYC: I detest dinosaur train. That show has no logic or cohesion! Stories are not learning oriented, and the dinosaurs sometimes act like dinosaurs and sometimes don't. It really irks me!

@MrsMccarthy: oh my gosh, I can't get through an episode without getting really irritated. The voice and the repeating of phrases while yelling in that voice. I refuse to let her watch it.
